That's happened then.
Not sure about Johnson but i really think we got as much as we could have done out of Mulhearn.
When he came to Rovers in 2016(was it) I thought he was awful.
17 and 18, incredible progression.
Last couple of years he's lost his mojo, I think a move is good for him and even if he comes back to haunt us it's the right decision.
I wish him well, he gave his best and I hope he goes well with the rest of his career.
It’ll be interesting to see how he goes as part of a prop rotation. With what happened to Scruton and Jewitt in 2019 and Masoe and Garbutt in 2020, it was always a huge ask. He’s not currently a player who can strap a team on his back and carry it forward. The weight loss meant he could do more minutes to help fill the gaps, but they were less effective minutes in already lightweight packs. I was curious to see how he’d go alongside Vete and Sims but he’s been here during some really lean times (27 wins and 62 losses in SL games since he joined) and that has to be wearing. A fresh start will likely do him good, especially at a team that should win more than they lose, and we couldn’t offer that.
