Sorry Spegs but you seem to be having a lot of time away from work with your health issues. Our valued customers have been talking amongst themselves and they think that in the interests of the company you should resign. I appreciate your contract is for another two years but the customers think you are being dishonest if you stay with us. That would be wrong. They also think that if you make yourself unemployed the money we save could be better spent on a younger, fitter chap. I hope your wife and family agree that the interests of the company, your fellow employees and our customers have to take priority over any hardship your expected decision will cause them. We all know you will do the right thing.'"
Bizarrely I quit a job 3 years ago due to mental health problems, it was me quitting them as I did not believe that the £35000 package I was on at the time I could honestly justify and was feeling levels of guilt which was amplifying my anxiety as a consequence, they did not want me to leave but understood the reasons and let me go as it was in all honesty the best situation for both parties, I am now on £10000 a year in a part time labouring role but feeling better than I did when I was their, my financial situation is poor but was the best decision I could have made. That is 100% true btw.
