Quote ="Mild Rover"I think the assumption is that Chester is very much plan A.
There's maybe something to be said for keeping options open, but clarity will be needed at some point. I guess coach, ceo and chairman will work together on recruitment and retention.'"
You are correct, however the CEO and chairman should have zilch to do with any sort of recruitment choices, they have zero knowledge of professional RL, they should have a say on the financials only. It should be the professional RL coach and professional RL coach only who makes the decision...
The current approach over the last four years, after Morgan was relieved of his recruitment duties , has seen us slide into the nether regions of the competition , has seen us sign some terrible mercenaries and terrible players full stop, lose most of our best players, and has ensured any coach worth his salt will not go within a mile of the place...and pretty much ensured we are on course to be playing outside the big boys league once again in the very near future...when they are bleating next year it should be remembered that they are the authors of their own mis-fortune..
I hope that Chester is not a "yes-man" but money talks unfortunately, he may well just fall in line...
