Give over. The thread is about the RFL and their incompetency. A large part of this is their acceptance of poor officiating. Not just the referees but touch judges and the VR's.

Fair point, I agree the RFL are incompetent. I just think everyone is quick to blame the refs, I know its in our nature as sports fans to do this but other teams get some rough calls and still win, hence the "take the refs out of the equation" quote. I really don't know if the touch judges help at all, we have seen them completely ignored by some refs. As for the VR's then their decisions are mystifying at times although again they are human and prone to human error (I must admit that Ganson's was stretching human error to the limits though).

I would fully support a vote of no confidence in the present 'leaders' at the RFL. The organisation needs updating and upskilling, some people have been there far too long with their own questionable agendas.

The team of officials have far more support nowadays. (VR and radio communication with the touch judges) but the standard is still shocking. We would have lost yesterday even without Thaliar ,what with the injuries to Lovegrove and Eden, but the RFL leave themselves wide open to criticism by putting him in charge of the Derby after the controversy of the Magic weekend game.(I know the big 'error 'was Ganson but he should have questioned the decision having seen it on the big screen)
