Understand that, sorry I should've been more specific... I've been out here for 2 years and watched him play a lot until he was dropped (every game's on telly etc), I'd summarise it as he's basically a hooker not a half, great defence and can scoot but really lacks insight/vision and ball playing skills. He's a good player by SL standards don't get me wrong, but is the opposite of a replacement for Dobson and Rovers will need a completely new attacking system in order to make this work - and can that happen with the other resources we've go? Bear in mind the Doggies were running a radical offence last year with Graham, Big Frank etc running structured second man moves as dummy 5/8ths in the forwards, so they did very well without an organising stand off or 1/2... But it was interesting to see Canterbury struggle at the start of this season with Jaws Graham out and defences more ready for that system. There was no Plan B because of KK's style not plugging that creativity gap - hence Des changing his 7 a few games into this season.
Dobbo on the other hand was always known as a great ball skills 1/2 with a good kicking game, but defence and running game wasn't rated which is why he didn't cut through, it's not like Canberra didn't see what he had and it took the move to SL to reveal it. I'd rather Rovers picked up an organising 1/2, but like I say that's not to say KK can't be effective in the right role.
