Quote ="tiger2000"The RFL have in within their power to change the result and after some of the statements coming from them, Jon Sharp and Ganson it is clear that this fiasco is due to a failure to implement the VR Regulations either by error, incompetence or both.
VR decisions have been wrong in the past, but in all cases it was down to an error in judgement not a technical error in the interperation of the pictures as has already been admitted by Ganson.
The game should be void, replayed if possible or if there is no time in the schedule for a replay a 16-16 tie declared the final result.'"
Just for one moment think about what you have written. Every future match that is close would have to be scrutinised for incorrect decisions. How far do you go back? What about a forward pass for a score in the first minute?
Imagine going home from matches thinking you had won/lost and then got home to discover the reverse.
It's sport, bad decisions are made. For once Rovers got an apology. This is a major step forward.
