Aye. Only reason I'd turn my nose up at any best offer from any club, [iincluding[/i Hull, would be the rumblings about attempts to engineer a move to that club.
There's a natural tension in this situation between the club wanting it sorted and the player being happy to bide his time as his cachet rises. Unless it was a [ivery[/i good offer, I'm not sure I'd have committed at this stage. And IMO, that is fair enough. Only if he's made it clear he's definately offski is it an issue - and then at least we know now, rather than being strung along and then seeing him go for nowt.
Would we even get a [ubig[/u fee though? The Bradford squad are now all effectively ooc (I think) which will have changed the dynamic a bit.
He is an excellent prospect, but losing him would be painful almost as much for what he represents as what he offers. With a fee and the wage we offered (assuming it was somewhere close to market value), we could get somebody who'd probably be as good or even better [iin 2013[/i, but losing the first one off the line and bearing in mind he's likely got plenty of better years ahead of him would be disappointing.
