I'm projecting my own opinions onto his words of course, but the gap between the best and the rest is massive in SL. We're not even one of the very worst teams - it isn't beyond the realms of possibilty we could make the play-offs! Eddie can stick his 'the only thing predictable about this league is its unpredictability'. The five teams below us have one top quality SL player between 'em (Chase). There's often talk about the cap failing to bring financial stability to clubs, but it has also failed to level out the competition. All the best players congregate at the top teams - with the honourable exception of Gareth Ellis.
And yes, it's just because we're losing badly and ultimately Rovers have to take responsibility for being plop tonight, but blow-outs aren't all that even when you're on the right end of them. Watching Rovers put 70 on Wakefield last year was an interesting novelty, but your attention tends to drift.
