A few things that annoy me in career mode is: After the season has finished, all the players numbers change randomly. For example, micheal Witt went from number 6 to 8 and Antonio kaufusi went from 8 to 16. Also the way the fixtures are not randomised after each season so they are always the same. However apart from niggles in this game, I haven't come across any bugs and I really do like it

You do it in Match Settings just before the game. I've played a couple of times at the legend setting, you are allowed no time at all to hold the player down at that level.

I've noticed that the computer team is very good at kicking into the wind. From kicking the ball to touch from a pen, against the wind, they always make decent yards. Sometimes I can't even make touch with the wind (i'm stopping the green bar too just before the red).

The interceptions really pee me off, you can't catch them when they are clear either. If you intercept you either A) kick it, because you're trying to tackle or B) run backwards\sideways due to the camera switch.

Apart from that, not too bad

The new patch seems good. Ive edited the teams to as close to the 2013 season as possible which is good but the squad numbers are still an issue.

Also, if you replace a team in career mode, ie put Featherstone in for say Salford then whilst you'll be playing against Featherstone you'll be playing at Salford.

Looking forward to finishing my first season with the Bulldogs so I can get rid of some of the deadwood. Ideally need some more forwards and maybe a stand off. Currently 2nd at the moment, Perrett and Inu are on fire down the left

As Broncos, ive made some decent signings, most notably, James Graham and Tony Williams!

I'm getting really annoyed at the controls. I try to throw a first time ball out but must be pressing B slightly before pressing the RB button and as soon as my player catches it he chips it straight to the defence as opposed to firing a pass out. Cost me 8 points against Castleford and I ended up drawing despite being comfortable throughout.

Two things that are really annoying me about career mode.
1. If you're a super league team, at the end of your first season, you have a ridiculous amount of money to sign pretty much however you want, but if you're an NRL team, you haven't got enough money to re-sign all your players.
2. In the second season, all your players have stupid squad numbers if you're a super league team. This is only a minor annoyance but seeing Wellens wearing number 10, Roby with 2 and new signing Ben Matulino with number 1 really really winds me up.

Prop forwards running the length of the field is annoying as f*ck

After a little while getting used to it, I'm really impressed with the game.

You have to keep in mind these guys don't have the big budgets of the Fifa's of this world - they only have so much to work with.

I think the presentation is great, the stadiums are very impressive and the commentarys acceptable. Player likenesses in the SL aren't good but it is an Australian based game.

As for gameplay, I think when you get used to the games limitations and play around them its very enjoyable. It is attritional but some might say thats realistic. There were a lot of interceptions for me at first but you just need to learn not to play long balls close to the line. My main gripe is you can't seem to do anything to speed up the play the ball and its almost impossible to scoot from dummy half and get anywhere.

Overall though, pretty good - far better than I was expecting.

The game is ludicrous online. The fend is far too effective.

Having played it for a while now on different settings with different teams, in general I'm very impressed. It's a massive improvement on the last effort.
There are a few niggling little things:
The interceptions, even as MadDogg points out if you don't use long balls close to the line, there are still too many. Especially as you can rarely take advantage of making an interception yourself as the camera turns around and means you stop running, or you were pressing a tackle button so end up kicking the ball.

Too many times I find props running out on the wing or at centre, and often find centres and wingers well out of position in defence, defending in the middle of the pitch.

As El Camo says, the fend is far too effective.

It might be me being a bit rubbish but I find it very difficult to get a drop goal away even using the tactic and pass to playmaker button. Also the pass to playmaker isn't always very useful, despite having McGuire and Sinfield near the play the ball I've used the pass to playmaker button and ended up with Darrell Griffin, Ian Kirke and Kallum Watkins receiving the ball. Who aren't exactly my first choice when trying to kick my way downfield.

Customising teams isn't easy, and the limit of 14 is annoying.
Also, how do you replace the original teams with customised one in the franchise mode? Or is it not possible?

On the whole, especially considering the last effort, I think these are mostly minor issues and its a pretty good game overall

I'd say as a whole I'm very impressed.
If the interceptions, fend and in-play kicking (which was actually better on number 1) were sorted out, it would be a really good game.

When you select your team to use in franchise mode, I think you click Y to replace the original team with an edited/created team.

When playing as a custom team in career mode how do I select my heritage or vintage shirts? They're listed on the team info screen in the footy factory but I only get the choice of home or away.

Does anybody know if there's is another level harder than "Legend" that is unlockable finding the Legend mode a little too easy now!

I have this on Xbox. Turned the game on and said there was an update. I downloaded but then after, it says I have to pay 4720 Microsoft points. That seems an awful lot?

Don't know about Xbox 360, but I noticed its only £19.99 on the Playstation store. Although I don't know if the patch is included, well worth it considering it was £49.99 when it was released

The 4,750 ms points is for the whole game - its about 800 ms points for the 2013 updated squads which works out at about 6 or 7 quid

nope it's just the normal game, i bought it for 17.99 due to being a ps+ subscriber. i think it's 6.49 or 6.99 more for the 2013 teams.

glad i finally picked it up though, even with it's flaws and quirks it's playable which considering it's our only option is a relief.

im not playing an online match until i learn to kick and kick defend... defeding from bombs seems a little random at times, the play can be ready in the target area then darts off at the wrong moment, makes for comical replays

ive downloaded the update and I now have options for super league 2013 but its got a padlock on it...can someone tell me how i can unlock it (xbox) thanks
