I've not got into the tactics yet. I'm still messing around with all the teams trying to see how all the players are etc.

What about the training then?

I've got 2 Fitness coaches - 5 star ratings, a 5 star Fitness and Conditioner and 1 5 star sports massage, but the players fitness are still low?

After every game make sure you give the players a recovery session with your club masseur (sp).

When a player gets injured or promoted to your main squad etc, they get taken off the training regime so you have to put them back on it when they recover/join up.

That's basically all I do and the players start off every game with more or less 90% fitness

Players fitness are all high now.

Got beat 24-10 off Catalans, then lost 36-0 to Wire lol.

Still very hard.

At least you now know that it isn't down to the fitness and that you can concentrate on where the team is going wrong on the pitch




Oh bugger, I've actually started fully now. I've got all my coaches in place with Saints on Hard mode, but now my wage bill is making me lose money. Wage bill is 52k and the income is 30k

Already 100k+ in debt, edging that much closer to the 2m balance withdrawl.

I've invested in a youth player that took me over the withdrawl costing 700k+ and he isn't ready yet

I always go 12-0 up and then the other team beats me 30-12 or something with Leeds. Could have been an easier difficulty.

It's all the same difficulty, just the Easy, Medium, Hard is the financial part of the game.

Have you got good fitness trainers and make your players have the recovery thing after a game?

Has anyone been offered another job so early in the season? After my first game with Wigan, I got offered the Huddersfield job for the next season, they must be desperate!

Also, has anyone accidently forgot to renew a contract, I lost Trent Barrett to Doncaster after my second game because I forgot to look at the contracts screen!

One thing that is annoying me, is that when you start as Hull, you are already over the overseas quota when in reality they aint!

I got offered the Bradford job soon after I had started then had Hull KR after me few games in.

The first thing I do is make sure everyone I want to keep is on a long term contract, then offer them all contracts and the senior academy. Then make the salary cap below and sell on some players.

The game is so buggy but it's so fun. I took over Wigan who were already over the salary cap for some reason, got rid of a load of useless coaches and Micky Higham, signed Cunningham and got my salary under £1.8m. Went into the first game against Quins losing 12-0 to which I came back and lead 13-12 until they scored in the last minute - 13-18, then I scored again and won 19-18, but nobody got a drop goal according to the match stats lol (3 point try maybe).

Then I got into a load of debt so put Fielden on the transfer list. Doncaster bought him for about £2m.

Then went on to get hammered by Castleford, Hull and Bradford.

Oh yeah, I promoted someone called Morgan Worgan aswell. Quality name.

Some of the Academy players names are awesome.

It's all to do with training and recovery, make sure you sign coaches with a variety of specialisations.

And get a sports massage and apply to all players after a game.

Finally sorted my overseas quota down to 5 after having 9 - after buying Dobson it was upto 9!

Before I start my first game am I correct in assuming that on the tactics screen the red area is my own 20 metre zone?

It says to win, you have to stay employed for seven seasons, if that means it automatically stops after seven seasons I will be disappointed, as it's becoming addictive.

I started with Cas and after my initial good start of selling Korki for just over a million and grabbing Billy Slater on a freebie i went 15 games unbeaten.....oh sorry, i meant without a win.

I was clearly doing something wrong but couldn't find out what. Then i learnt how to keep my squad fit and that surprisingly made a difference.

I then won five out of the next eight games, including away at Leeds and Saints but that wasn't enough to keep my job. Presumably i got the boot for the poor season and not because i'd actually started winning games, but you never know with the Cas board of directors. I'm going to start again and win everything with Cas now i know what to do.
