When you enter your login details, check the box that says keep me logged in. Seems to have resolved it for a lot of people.

I appreciate the effort too. I wish I loved the changes like others seem to, but I can't say I'm a fan of the new layout - it feels like it gets in the way of actually playing the game, for me. Choosing my team didn't feel like fun - I felt like I was fighting the interface. I think it's fixable, though.

There's a lot of dead space on the player rows, probably due to having the (cosmetic only?) photo in there, that makes the page painful to read, and doesn't help the user. I can only see three player rows on my laptop screen at normal resolution, and six or seven at the highest resolution I can get (the data column doesn't expand widthways to compensate, either). There doesn't seem to be a way to see my whole team at once, and instead I have to scroll up and down the list to see who I've put in where, and try and remember how much I paid for each player as I scroll about. There's plenty of space to fit a full team on a single page without those photos, which add nothing, for me. I either know what the players look like already, or I don't care because they were the only £80k prop I could find to fill up my team of expensive kickers.

The same issue applies on the page for each position when choosing players, only it's worse because there are more of them, and all the biographical info (available elsewhere, for the interested) expands the row in some cases - see Wade McKinnon's entry as an example. I may be alone in not wanting to read the bio for every player each time I go to that page, but I do want to see who's available and for what price - and preferably enough players so I can make a comparison. There are about 80 props, and only being able to see around six at once is a pain for selection. That's 10 or more vertical screens' worth of information to scan (and to remember as you're scrolling through - if you're looking for a player in a particular price bracket from a small set of clubs), for useful data that could probably be fit on two. It would be better if we could sort on a property, like price, club or name, but that's not implemented yet. Even if it was, there's a lot of unnecessary information getting in the way of the actual game, for me.

I know you've put a huge amount of time and effort in to get the fantasy league up again for this season (much of which is undoubtedly in the back-end, which we don't see directly), and I really do appreciate that. It would be a shame if that effort went to waste because a couple of easily fixed layout issues put people off playing.

@LeightonP - just to let you know your comments are valued and will be thought as will all feedback. This season will be more about trial and error as we are working with a brand new system and the game was redesigned from scratch, we were expecting a lot of teething troubles and frustrated users but there was a point where we had to go live in order to give you all a game to play. We a have a big list of to-do's on the mods board and over the next few weeks you will see a lot of 'tweaks' and over the years the game will only get better. So just bear with us for now

I agree that the size and layout made it hard to select players. Maybe have a link to the players photo and bio instead of having them on the selection page would be a better way?

I also think it would be easier having the players in order by cost, therefore your not scrolling through looking for the players to fit your budget. Maybe giving the choice of order, ie price, club etc, to the user if the coding isn't too hard?

No worries - I'd rather have it like this in time for the season than late, or not at all. Previous years' comps have been fantastic, and I know you'll get this refresh to where you want it to be.

The really important stuff - the game, and joining leagues - seems to be working fine. Having written the odd bit of (free) software myself I know no-one really likes negative feedback - especially when it looks minor to the user, but is a pain in the nads to sort out - but it's often been the most helpful for me, and the best for the software

It's all meant constructively.

BTW - a wee bug/issue is that (Chrome, OSX) resizing the page with CTRL-+ or CTRL-+ resizes the main body correctly, but the menu bar (HOME, Welcome, etc.) loses elements. At the smallest zoom, it stops at 'Leagues Joined' in my browser. It's easily worked around by zooming in again, and not a major problem.

Please please please make it so you can filter players by price, makes it 1000x harder to select a team.

Again this is on our to-do list. Because there are a few things still to sort, they will be done by priority and tbh this is halfway done the list at the moment.

Why is there no page showing the players in there positions on the pitch? Better looking overall, but very long winded.

Bad call IMO. I like the new look, more professional, but the pitch/positional view is important in any fantasy game.

Well to fair to sadfish ( he's the admin chap who wrote it) he's never played FRL before on the old format. He took on the owness of building us a new game after the person who created the old game left RLFANS and he has worked endlessly with coding to get the game open on time.

I'm guessing the interface to SLStats won't be up by this week - which does make life a lot more difficult trying to research players.

I know I've been an advocate of people doing their own research but it's going to be a case of doing research via several websites this year.

Slstats will be returning but when I don't know.

I guess it will be the same for everyone and I do like the feature of being able to track your week by week score in the game (I'll be keeping my spreadsheet though).

Great stuff. Would much improve it as a kind of home page IMO, like previous years, for transfers and points. A similar interface to the fantasy premier league one would be class! Very much like the new look though, good job
