No I want him to say the current players have had their chance now and he's going to be spending a lot of time on the phone trying to get some players in on loan or on contract if the money is there. That doesn't include going further into the DR hat because the Hull players are no better than what we have already.

| Paul can't win, we ask for more information from the club and then get criticised when they do publish their plans. If an employee of any business openly criticises their staff, managers in public then would lead to disciplinary action, so I don't know what fans expect.
It sounds like he is genuine hurting and is determined to put things right within whatever constraints he is working under, I can't criticise his training methods because I don't know what they are, if the players can't perform to them then either Paul changes what he's looking for or he changes personel.
It is my roll as a supporter to turn up and get behind the team and hopefully this will help them turn things around, we all have a part to play when times are tough.
A questions and answers session maybe a more constructive way of getting answers to some tougher questions, to save conflict I would suggest questions are emailed in and asked to Carl on his weekly in the dugout.

| I can't see what he had to gain by publicly criticising certain people on an article when I can't see the reason for them to be criticised.
The penalties and bad decisions are to blame and 80% of the team make them. Bad judgement if you ask me.

No, I'm not Paul Cooke's agent but I agree with Rugblyman. PC can't win.
Last season, the lads were winning games, playing well, and we were all very happy to finish fourth. The players haven't become bad players. Other teams have got better and we're a long way off our game. It's hard for us to take as fans but I'm sure it's even harder for Paul Cooke (do you need an agent, Paul?) as he's at the coal face, so to speak. I can't start to imagine how many sleepless nights he's been having.
I'm sure he'll be looking into all options as to how to proceed.
Let's get behind the lads this Sunday and help them to play to their best. It's at times like this that the players need the fans to be on their side more than ever.

You make it sound as though just because of the situation ,supporters don' turn up.Were you one of the faithful there on Sunday Bloody Sunday or many of the other dire games. No probably not, well I was and I shall be there on Sunday even though I can't see them winning.
For your information if you include the end of last season and the friendlies this season, the Dons have gone 12 games without a win so as great as it was,it doesn't cut the mustard to keep quoting where we finished last season. Taking those results into consideration there are some clubs that would have shown the door to the coach after such a run.
It was Paul Cooke who made the decision to sign all the youngsters, the majority being below first team standard and unlikely to get first team action because of the current situation. Also he knew the league would be a lot tougher this season and we shouldn't have been looking at wins over the usual suspects because they have strengthened their squads.Hunslet knew what they had to do to be competitive. So he has to shoulder a lot of the blame for the situation.
Finally you've shot yourself in the foot by saying he'll be looking at all options which is exactly what I was getting at when the exchange of quotes started. he just keeps coming out with the same quotes albeit in different phrases. If the supporters are told something different such as he's trying to bring some quality players in to stop the rot then maybe supporters will get off his back.

| Quite a few points for me answer there Tatty ....
"For your information if you include the end of last season and the friendlies this season, the Dons have gone 12 games without a win so as great as it was,it doesn't cut the mustard to keep quoting where we finished last season."
The point I was making is that the players haven't suddenly become bad players. Morale is low and they're not performing anywhere near their best. PC is trying to get them to play to their best. You can't suddenly throw everyone out when a bad run happens, you have to try to get back to performing to your best.
"Finally you've shot yourself in the foot by saying he'll be looking at all options which is exactly what I was getting at when the exchange of quotes started. he just keeps coming out with the same quotes albeit in different phrases. If the supporters are told something different such as he's trying to bring some quality players in to stop the rot then maybe supporters will get off his back"
I'm sure Paul Cooke will be looking out for new players or loan players. I don't need him to tell me this. I trust that he'll do whatever he possibly can to get us out of this situation.
"You make it sound as though just because of the situation ,supporters don' turn up.Were you one of the faithful there on Sunday Bloody Sunday or many of the other dire games. No probably not, well I was and I shall be there on Sunday even though I can't see them winning."
I'm afraid that not all supporters show your loyalty, Tatty. I commend you for that. I was encouraging everyone to really get behind the team on Sunday because the players need us more than ever.
For your information, I first started watching the Dons in the early 1970's and I've been a season ticket holder for many of the seasons ever since. I remember the first season ticket I got for the old stand at Tattersfield. It was a blue card. No tickets in it. You just showed it at the turnstile and they let you in. Happy days ... does anyone else remember them?!

This may well be my last post for a while so I have to speak my mind on this. You are quite fond of trotting out the 'I've been a supporter since God was a lad' line and yet here we find postings of this type only since you joined at the beginning on March this year. Question Where have you been since now?
I struggle to believe that a fan of the Dons with your so called rich history has been so quiet on this forum, given that it is the Dons fans main forum and we have been in much worse situations than this since the forum went live. I do not recognise this type of attack dog style of writing regarding the clubs management at all. My guess is, as it was some days ago that you are a WUM who is playing on the clubs poor start. I am not convinced with this," I was around in the Bloody Sunday days" one bit. My Father in law has been nearly ever present since the York Road start and he would never question the running of the club like you do. I call your bluff Sir and look forward to your evidence that you have been a Dons fan since you say you have, because I think what you write and what you pretend to be are complete and utterly false.
And before I get accused of being rattled again, yes I bloody well am because all the human traits of easier to complain and winge and destroy rather than build are in evidence here. How can anyone who is a true fan stand by and read your crap about Paul Cook and not get rattled. I'm not just rattled I'm bloody angry.

Heres an easier question all long standing Dons should know the answer too.
Gary Hetherington played one solitary game for the Dons who was the team he played against?

Yep, but it was the school on Lodge Road at Skellow in1959. My Mother was busy working in the fields on the Owston estate. I used to leg it from school in an effort to get home, sometimes I made it other times the 'Ladies' on Lodge Road would stop me and take me back. Bloody hell I could run for England at that age.

Sorry no it wasnt known as the caravan view stand, if you can remember what type of stand it was & a former chairman of the club it should help you find the answer.
Regarding caravans on the car park was the Dons way way of getting rid of them was to have a circus camped on the car park & two of the lions got loose? it certainly added a new dimension to the players Thursday night training session I have never seen them move so fast since that night.
