brewery site at 7 lakes in Crowle.

Sorry, only just spotted this ... I wouldn't have been much help though as It's not an area I am familiar with (although I was only a few miles away at the Reebok Stadium in the afternoon and Bolton in the evening).

| Incidentally, my brother in law was in the Brigantes pub near Ackbars Indian restaurant the other day and they had, along with lots of real ales, bottled beer from all over the place.
Anyway they had one called Brewdog Tactical Nuclear Penguin at 32% abv (which is the World record).
It came in a 25ml bottle at £5.95.
So if you do your maths, and assuming I did it correctly, if that was a session ale at 4% abv, it would cost £17 a pint!
Your round .....

I once bought a bottle (330ml) of their Tokyo 18.2% for £15 in Cask Corner
The Tactical Nuclear Penguin has subsequently been outdone twice in the abv stakes ... Brewdog Sink the Bismark 41% and Brewdog The End of History 55% - they like pushing boundaries.

What must it taste like?
I thought there was a limit to beer strength short of distillation.

| One's I missed which I would have liked to try;
Caledonian Poltergeist Porter 4.0%
Oakleaf Cream of the Crop 4.2%
St Peters Extra 4.4%
Backyard Premium 4.5%
Mordue Oatmeal Stout 4.5%
Adnams Barley Mow 5.0%
Wadworth What The Fuggles 5.0%
Batemans Hazelnut Brownie 6.3%
The Oakleaf, St Peters, Adnams & Wadworth ales were brewed exclusively for the festival but hopefully some of the others will be available and get sampled in time.

Fair question, but no.
Been disappointed by the number of Festive Ales / Winter Warmers I've seen but perhaps I've just not been in the right place at the right time.

Not visited yet, but plan to.
It gets a favourable write-up in Donny Drinker (Doncaster & District CAMRA magazine) and majors on locally sourced Ales & Ciders as well as continental bottles.
According to the report they also offer Cask Ales for takeout.

Doom Bar in the Bay Horse (Bentley) ... Nice but was never going to take away the pain of the worst hiding in 30-odd years!
Don't suffer in the mornings fortunately

I think that's as a result of spending more and more time locally ... Switched to the Bay Horse after the demise of the Drum and whilst they have a real ale they tend to stick to the same one (Doom Bar) where the Drum were at least rotating theirs.
I'll still contribute when I come across something or somewhere worth reporting.

| For all you discerning real ale fans I would ask you to try and give some of your patronage to Doncaster Brewery and their new premises on Young Street in the Town Centre . It’s not yet the finished article but the beer is very good. The couple who are running it have put their heart and soul into their business and it deserves to be a success. Opening times are Friday 3 -9pm and Saturday 12 noon – 9pm. Sampled most and boy does he keep a good pint. Especially the Town Fields brew at 7%, its gorgeous.
