I have a beard, full and short at the moment, this could soon change as I usually shave on a whim after necking a few ales or even ciders I am currently half way down a bottle of Old Peculiar . Pass the gillette Michelle.

Went to the Salutation last night supping Bombadier and Duchar's IPA.
Came out and tripped over.
I have got a beautiful black eye.
I'll be the one at tomorrow's game with shades on.

Latest ales quaffed and recommended, Acorn Cluster IPA, Weymouth Jurassic, Acorn Sovereign ( another superior porter ) and Saltaire Amarillo Blonde ( a straw-coloured clear wheat beer - bootiful )

I'm not one for drinking beer at home usually, but I got a few bottles in when the brother in law came over t'other day. As he was driving he left them to me, so I will be finishing off Black Sheep Square & Rigwelter while watching Rhinos & Bulls tonight.

Visited the PoW on Monday (as we had 40 mins to spare in Leeds on the way back from Blackpool) - it was closed. The barman in Spencers across the road said that he thought it had been open earlier but that it closes if they aren't taking much money!

The Scarbrough was open though ... pint of Bishops Finger please.

What about that for a result for us Real Ale drinkers. The clubhouse at Fylde RUFC had Landlord and Fylde Tackle (a local brew no doubt).

Visited Bluecoat at Rotherham, ye olde Wetherspoon establishment, and sampled Hart's Squirrel's Hoard, Acorn Barnsley Glory ( wonder how that got its name?

), a nutty porter and a very dark beer with Tokyo in its name, especially brewed for their beer festival.

All quite palatable but I wouldn't particularly rush to have another one of any of them.

Yo-Ho Tokyo Black is the one I believe that you are referring to. Brewed at Marstons (by Yo-Ho Brewing Company) for the festival as you rightly point out.

I went along. Good job you didn't go last night, there was no power at the Hub so it was didn't open as planned. However from the numbers that were there tonight, I'm sure it made up for it.
