No. The disciplinary committee can review and refer any incident, even those where the official took some action. What tends to happen however, in the vast majority of cases, is that those dealt with on the pitch rarely have any further action taken.

If they do review it I hope that for the sake of the game (and players health) it warrants sterner action. Not one for mixing the Rugby codes up but you have to say in Union that type of head shot would be severely dealt with.

I just assumed he was carrying a knock with all the strapping and he caught it in tackle. Speaking of anyone entirely sure what the ruling was for that in the end? Looked like our guy went down with a knock, ref stopped play, number 14 decided to crowd him and laugh at him in a super classy display of sportsmanship (sarcasm) , Levy moved him out of the way and then Newcastle piled in. Didn't see any punches and didn't make out the ref's signal so just not sure what he pinged them for in all that tbh

Appropriate ban for that sort of head shot. IMO the RFL have to come up to speed on targeting the head and neck area, too much goes undetected and the cheap shots when tackled and on the ground is also unacceptable.
