| We can agree to disagree on that one weighman, but either way GT needs to be seen to make the decision.I guess you don't anticipate Jpod playing on sunday.
What I think we are saying is that with the big lads fit we have enough to pick from to fill the other pack places and give us some go forward to give Hedges a fair crack.

| That's why we also need Milton back at 13. Not happy with the form of 2 of the 2nd row forwards , not Tonks, been hard to know how good or bad J P is.
Kelly might be back also which would strengthen the squad.
Looking for an improved performance and a good win.

For London?
Where does the optimism come from?
We have scored 22 and conceded 94 in our last two games and London won away.
A bad start and it could another Caribbean Collapso ...
How can it be easy for a side to suddenly fire up.
A few additions will help but who is going to set Tali free?
Does anyone know if Hedges played in the last two games, because I never noticed him.'"
Because London just make up the numbers Imo, if we can't beat them well, I'll worry.

| With regard joe po'd the late tackle was a joke and fully deserved the sin bin, but the red he received was wiped
We have been badly bullied out of our lass two games so imo we need an injection of aggression in the pack
but it needs to be controlled.
All good sides need a spine of 1-6-7-9-13 playing together week in week out which we haven't as yet, I'm expecting big things from jordan when fit but if it's going to be a long time then we need someone to cover regular but as a loan and not duel reg as they need to be training with the lads to be able to form a partnership

Me too. This should be a game we win comfortably. More alarm bells will start to ring if this one is close, never mind if we lose.
With regards to S/O wondering why we should be expecting a win on the back of the two heavy defeats, when I look at the team on paper, we don't look a bad side. I'd like to see Nicholson and Tonks in the second row as that is where we've definitely been coming up short.
If Milton is out and we're missing a 13, he may play Joe P. I've still no idea whether he's any good or not but no one is any good if they spend more time off the field than on it.
If we get some go forward, I will be hoping to see Jordie Hedges show us what he can do. I'm looking forward to seeing Jason Tali play.
I wonder who we'll get from Hull?

Agreed, until we get some consistency of selection in those key positions we will struggle. That's not to say we won't win some games considering the teams in this division but to be at the right end of the table it's essential.

I responded actually to someone saying they expect a big win, not a win.
Of course we should win.
I expect London to be better than Gloucester

| My report card for the Skolars game looks something like this:
Win by 25 points or more without conceding many - maybe there is hope we can improve further to compete with the better sides.
Win by 18 to 24 - I'd be happy and believe we may be heading back in the right direction.
Win by 10 to 17 - Satisfactory but not earth shattering.
Win by less than 10 - Okay but somewhat disappointed.
Lose ... I really don't want to go there!

And very welcome IMO. I take it that Lancaster is the winger who scored a hat trick for Hull in our pre -season friendly with them?

| We need a good performance and a win today. Confidence for what ever reason seems to be at a low level.
There have been flashes of what we can do with ball in hand in earlier games and even v York for a short period .
COYD today .

| Well that's my summer freed up.
To all the numpties who predicted a big Dons win ..
I salute you.
Tali ...there aren't enough laughing smilies to describe him.
We are a mid table joke accept it.
Sheriff, Aizue are class ... the rest are ordinary.
Their number 7 made Hedges look wooden.
We are that bad I think Ferguson should run both sides.
Positivity anyone?

| THat was just terrible, we paid our hard earned cash to watch a contest, that was embarrassing. Apart from Aizue, Sherriff, Castle and Welham the others were all very poor. As for Lancaster on the wing, he was a joke.
We can't blame the referee for the manner of that defeat, we were bereft of ideas, lacking in go forward, and players who looked tired or unfit.
As others around me said, We don't mind supporting our team if they give it a go and get beat by a better team, but that wasn't this afternoon.
I'm sure we will hear that the coach is sorry, the players are hurting from the defeat, but it just wasn't good enough. It will be a very embarrassing season if that team is all we have.

| well well well, what can be said,? if there is a man out there anywhere who can convince me that we dont need a new coach and at least half a dozen new players then please give him my phone number. As said above 2 or 3 players played well today and at least were seen to be trying, the rest were shoite. (wont name names because its not right to do so) No amount of excuses or reasoning from Carl or GT will convince me we have the ability to get a top 6 place this year. If we dont make changes NOW then we are doomed. And dont forget I am MR optamistic on here. But not for much longer. I walked out today before the final hooter, the FIRST TIME EVER in 33 yrs of supporting the Dons. So Mr Hall sort it out.

| With the London guys starting to flag and running out of fit substitutes, I was expecting a late comeback to get us out of the mire.
Despite being a diehard Dons fan, I was glad to see the better team win. It would have been an injustice to yet another team that wanted it more than us and another team that showed more enthusiasm than us.
Will it be a wake-up call? Hope I'm wrong but I doubt it.

| From following on Twitter it didnt make pretty reading sadly, seems the mistakes and "cut price" recruitment from last year have continued. We've signed a lot of "maybes" pushed on us by a former chairman who of course will have made a nice little earner out of the all these signings.
Yes we have injuries and I dont mind the club loosing I dont expect to win every single game, but what I do expect is pride and passion and a will to win. I dont know if we can blame GT as I dont know how many of the player he actually picked (same would occur to me regarding PC last season). We seem to be totally reliant on Hull for quality I dont think we've named the same starting 13 thus far and were missing a good spine of a side (1,6,7,9,13).
Having "endured" this weeks "In the Dugout" clearly these are opinions I am not qualified to make or questions I cannot ask as they seem to be uncomfortable to answer.
Least we can concentrate on mid table obscurity now that all those pesky cups are out of the way.......
