Good effort from the boys today, losing Menell early didn't help things , we've struggled creatively all season so to lose him was a big blow. But we battled manfully against a not too impressive fev outfit, and a diabolical ref. Relegation confirmed, but we knew that anyway.

Agree with HKR - a good effort from the boys. Fev were disappointing.

S/O, the game kicked off a little later and a couple of injuries during the game caused further hold ups. Paul Mennell managed to limp off after first looking like needing the stretcher.

There were some positives to take from the game with Kyle Kesik having his best match for a while. Ryan Verlinden looks like a handful and should be signed up for next season. Ryan Wright looked good too.

Dave Scott gave everything as usual. Matt Groat and Russ Spiers tried hard too.

Attendance of 886 was disappointing. Fev didn't bring as many as they usually do and our turnout was low too. Would we have scraped 400 had there been no Fev fans there?

hiya peeps, quite enjoyed the game today not sure if we went up a notch to fevs level or if they came down a couple to our level, either way we finally got relegated, I think quite a few players stood out well (maybe they were trying to impress for a contract next season).The low point for me today (apart from a couple of strange refs decisions )was how we lost our discipline in the last quarter giving loads of pens away and letting fev in for points the score flattered them . Heard lots of gossip today about who is going, and also there is a lot of players wanting to come and play for the Dons/Gary Thornton, so time will tell which are fact and which are fiction. Anyway only a few more games then we can start for the big "re,birth" in 2016. Whatever happens between now and then I for one will stand by my team and keep on shouting COYDs,

The blokes who play this game are bloody heroes ... I wouldn't play this game for a gold pig ... it's almost as if it's a given to get badly injured at some point.

Simple things?

I don't like to be critical of the club because I'm sure they've got lots of things on their minds at the moment but this is a perfect example of not getting simple things right. It is a concern.

I think we've touched on this subject before, in the Intake/town moor area where i live there is nothing to show upcoming Dons games, even at lakeside area, Asda,Dome etc. So easy to do but opportunities missed.

Given the fact that the Super 8s were recently announced fixtures, and not previously listed in a match day programme, there was even greater need to get the message out there as to when the new home games were to be played.

Maybe we should be asking what the Club Doncaster marketing department are actually doing to promote the Dons?

Getting the word out on your own advertising board seems the most obvious of things to do, and as HKR says, nothing ever seems to be done over our side of town around Intake/Town Moor or near Asda, etc.

If the club wants to build confidence back up amongst the fans, then please get the things right that we can see, otherwise many doubters will question whether lessons have been learnt with regards to the things we can't see.

The coverage in the Free Press is better than it used to be IMHO ... so that's a positive.

The lessons to be learned really are two clichés ...

None of your paranoid drivel has anything to do with why RL fans don't want to pay much for their tickets which is what this thread is ultimately about. And if its own fans don't care enough about RL to spend alot to pack out huge stadiums, why should the media care? Being such an expert on the media i'm sure, as always, you'll know the answer.
