Well interestingly, Danny Nicklas is reported in this weeks RL-press as 'unavailable indefinitely because of work commitments'.

I think we can read that as "gone" so atm Wilco is the only recognised halfback on the clubs books with Kittrick being on "loan"...I suspect after yesterdays performance GT will be pretty active looking to fill the gaps.

He gave the players a chance to show what they could do yesterday in a game we were never going to win, but it was a chance to show pride passion and commitment I think he'll have a much better idea of who he wants to keep and who isn't up for the fight.

I would hope for some fresh faces into the squad for Sunday as GT starts the rebuild...Halfbacks and a leader on the pitch are all must haves for me.

Yes, in an earlier post I said I was expecting at least a decent performance, with a new coach and places up for grabs. As DM says guess the new coach now knows the size of the task.

Club was,allegedly, in financial difficulties, so again I ask, what was the alternative. Yes things haven't worked out like we hoped, but I haven't heard of anyone wanting to put money in and take over, so please tell me, what is your alternative to club Doncaster.

I don't think there is an alternative to Club Doncaster.

Let's face it, with gates like the ones we're getting, rugby league in Doncaster isn't a particularly attractive proposition. Unless the attendance situation can be addressed, I don't see how we can progress in the long-term. Club Doncaster is probably better able to do something about this than most. If we want to have a future, we need the infrastructures of Club Doncaster and the marketing abilities they have.

The sad fact is that without Club Doncaster there may be no Dons. And for that fact alone, I'm extremely grateful to all connected with Club Doncaster for their involvement.

Even though current times are dire, I do not fear the club will fold. Without Club Doncaster, my fears of that happening would be considerably greater.

My thoughts exactly DM, it's not ideal by any means, but at least we have a club. Unless some money man comes in, club Doncaster is the only way forward, much as some dislike it. Mistakes have undoubtedly been made, hope they learn from them, but at the moment , no club Doncaster, no Dons.

I know there are some supporters who think that Club Doncaster and all it entails is the devil incarnate, but I struggle to think where we would be without them.

Next season could be extremely challenging then. I genuinely fear that we could be looking at home crowds of 300-400 (top end of that if we are winning games). Love to be proved wrong though.

I think a few people saw a tidy profit when arranging to tie up with club doncaster, can i ask who you point the finger of blame at for the 20+ losing streak?

Now without starting a row, who is to say what the state of the Finance package was and how it was spent. That is the question I am certain that the keeper of the purse may be asking either of himself or of the people who did the 'spending'.

I am not asking for figures and my trust is implicit. The big question is why was the Team left without a proven playmaker for the season when it was obvious to even the most die hard fan that key positions on the field were lacking as we got into the Season. The help from Hull was restricted IMO due to their crippling injury stats for the first part of the season so no cavalry from the East.

As I say just basic questions nothing more and posted with still a lot of faith that we can at least hold our heads up at some point this year

Of course you can ask, and I will give my opinion. Not mu place to apportion blame but I would say The coaching staff and the players, the club provide the finance, of which I am told was not used.

Im not doubting the club doncaster folk are not committed or passionate but running a football club compared to a rugby league team is totally different with different values, you only need to look at rovers dwindling support + performances to realise as little brothers to them we will go down the same road. look were dons through and through and we all will have different views and thats healthy but i think we lost alot of our identity when we mergered. If I were at Yorkshire TV, I would be approaching the Dons with a view to making Another Bloody Sunday - is history about to repeat itself?
