It's a 50/50 split after reasonable running costs for the likes of stewards and police have been removed, so it's usually closer to 40%

| I don't think we should be quibbling over how much we make considering the problems Bradford are in.
I just hope they pull through and that the match actually goes ahead.

To be fair, they're briefly facing the same problem that we, as a lower league club constantly face from week to week as we battle to ensure we survive from one minute to the next.
We need the money from the game arguably more than they do. So while I feel for their situation and hope they pull through it, we can not afford to be a charity. I wouldn't swap our existence for theirs!

it's not a case of 'quibbling' you silly Bear !
I'm trying to support the Dons in a very minor way and I don't give a monkeys about the Bulls or any other club - it's dog eat dog and every day is a challenge to stay afloat whether it be Donny or Bradford
I have sympathy for ALL clubs but respect those, like Donny who are at least trying to make a serious go of making the club a success despite the continual uphill struggle thanks to the dedication of a good management team and a generous chairman - pity the Bulls can't follow a similar business plan !
let's hope the game goes ahead and we can make a few sheckels from the adventure

| my sympathy is with the supporters. If a club who get 13000 ish through the gate cant keep their house in order it has to be bad management. Hope they survive, great club. but like any other club have to face the music for their own actions. might mean dropping out of super league for a while but that wouldnt be the end of the world. they should be treated like anybody else

| I just think the game has had years and years of existance and never had any serious success in all that time. Cant see the point in throwing money into project after project and let long standing clubs go to the wall. Yes there is a place for teams who have played in lower level leagues and build themselves up from the bottom, but to throw money at trying to create teams for super league,no not for me

| Expansion of the game only works if its done at the grass roots level and not done by flying a load of Aussies over and fast tracking a team into SL.
I think London Skolars are doing it right and after a few years of struggle they seem to be on the right track this year and will surprise a few teams.
Catalans now seem to be able to hold their own in SL without a heavy reliance on Aussie/Kiwi imports they are going it right also, even if they were given a bump start.
Much as I am loath to say this Sheffield have also developed in the right way from the bottom up.
I have no problems with teams joining our great game, but they should do so at the lower end and under the same rules everyone else has to stick to not a modified set because they are an expansion team.

| Another good example of how to do it right is Hemel Hempstead who should be welcomed in to the semi pro ranks, as for the other contenders for CC1 i'm not so sure.
Apart from the fact that they've nicked our colours!

but teams are not 'joining' the game - these teams already exist
the amount of investment ready to be injected into Toulouse Olympique (Aerospace industries etc) is exiting and shouldn't be ignored
for some reason the RFL decided to support a welsh side which failed miserably twice and a London team that struggle to raise one man and his dog
English RL is in decline, for whatever reason so why should the RFL try to keep these dinosaurs going ? any more than the government of the day stepping in and bailing out the hundreds of companies who fall into bankruptcy each week.Better to re invest in new ventures surely ?

Pay on the gate. I don't think there will be any danger of us testing the 26,000 capacity.

No problem with Toulouse joining but they need to come in at C1 level and be subject to the salary cap and import rules that all clubs are subject to. They should get no special treatment above and beyond a UK based club get if they are treated as equally as us or say Rochdale and they succeed good on them.

it's been proven that coming up through the C/C1 ranks doesn't work if the club is semi pro - the travel alone is the main pronblem and with the majority of french playing & coaching staff having to hold down full time jobs (just like the english lads in C/C1) it just isn't feasable
the only way is full time pros, like at Catalans
when Toulouse are offered the SL franchise in 2015 or next time around the team will have to be rebuilt - the sponsorship is in place and the club are just awaiting final approuval from the city council to commence ground redevelopment to met SL criteria etc - work should start after xmas.

| Spoke to someone at the Dons earlier in the week, the money taken for tickets sold by the Dons is not handed over to the Bulls. It is treated as part payment of the monies owed to the Dons. So if the game doesnt go ahead we shouldnot be out of pocket .

| yes that sounds like the rfl, a big club could go bust because it cant meet its costs,so the rfl put on them another long trip where they need to stay over, and ride roughshod over clubs that have invested in trying to do things the way they should be, like fev and fax. im sure that the supporters of those clubs will be delighted that yet another " club" are to come in and have their own set of rules and endless finance. and you wonder why. the game is losing supporters
