I do enjoy my visits to both of these fine hostelries.

A pint of Wychwood Hobgoblin in the Salutation in town.

Anybody planning to visit CAMRA's National Winter Ale Festival in Manchester next week (21st-24th January)? The glasses will be lined with 1/2 & 1/3 pint measures, so you can samle plenty of brews without drinking too much.

Looks like a visit to the Salutation tomorrow evening in conjunction with the Supporters Meeting.

Elland Midnight Rider

Had and enjoyed the Elland brew before but the Saltaire Cherry Stout was new to me but a real winner!

Saltaire make an excellent range of beers, their Blackberry Cascade is spot on & doesn't make you look like you are drinking lager & black.
Tomorrow we are off to Rochdale to sample a few of their hostelries.

If you viisit the Cemetery Hotel please let us know whether it is as good as it used to be before the change of landlords. I have heard it is beginning to recover after a bad spell.

Last time the Dons were in Rochdale in July, The Cemetary was closed! However, I called in on Halloween on the way back from Eccleston (Nr Chorley) and they were (quite appropriately
