With regard to Paul Cooke, he has been known to rest himself for such fixtures. He didn't play against Leigh in our victory at the Keepmoat last season or the Challenge Cup tie at Warrington.

Looks like they are writing it off ... and taking the hit!!

I can understand putting out a weak team against leigh as highly unlikely we would win with our best team, especially now no bonus point, however a 50-60 point defeat won't improve our fan base and will in fact put people off so could backfire, also our points difference could be another factor we regret at the end of the season, so as a fan I prefer to put out the best team possible each week, will still attend the game because I have experienced many a heavy defeat in years gone by, I had hoped those days were behind us, at least the following game be a better spectacle as a contest.

Sorry if this has been asked before but will there be cash turnstiles on tomorrow or do we need to buy a ticket before we enter the ground?

If that is indeed Leigh's 17, they are missing the following players, who would normally be first choice:-

McNally - full back
Higson - wing
Moimoi and Emmitt - props
Goulden and Sarsfield - 2nd row

It's no cause for concern though, is it?

We are missing both half backs and therefore lack any creativity, if Leigh were without brierley and Ridyard you could stick Kay and penky and still be strong , I am just hoping we don't give up and play for 80 minutes, if we can hold them to 24-30 points I would be satisfied, just hope it's not 60 point drubbing. The start of the season as proved dual reg only helps the parent club who use it to suit them and dictate who plays and when which can upset team spirit.

It looks to me that we have gone for a light bench and quick backline, it wouldn't surprise me to see Rowley instructing the lads to throw the ball about and use your excellent pitch ala the LSV.

Be nice to play on quick track as opposed to that mud bath a Fax recently.

Its true, he is there now and wont be back until early next week.

Going on our potential squad for tomorrow im pretty sure both brierley and ridyard will get me plenty of points for my dream team!

You know despite that defeat, I have got to take my hat off to the Dons lads.
They took some right hits, particularly Kittrick, and got back up for more.
Brilliant effort.

Thats what some of us were asking for just effort. We knew what to expect from this game but if stands then in good stead for the future then good stuff.

Agree we always stand way too flat so no one is running on to the ball - it makes a huge difference. That being said I enjoyed most of it and was pleasantly surprised by Kittrick's contribution. Considering after Leigh's first try if memory serves their next 3 were off of either forward passes or a knock on and I believe the last might have been off an odd decision regarding a ball steal.

As for Bloem his performance was such that I was genuinely shocked when he blew up play for a blatant forward pass he was less than 2 yards from that would have led to another Leigh score.

Even so there was only ever going to be one winner but it was nice to see the effort put in by some of the lads and I thought Pas deserved his MOTM as he was definitely the best for us.

No one could fault the effort. I thought Holt did ok.

As stated Leigh were a class above the Dons

Thought Holt had a good game and would give him a game with wilko or Cooke at some point this season, as he looked like he could break the line

All I shall say, is that from my angle, Tom Armstrong was very lucky to get sinbinned....
