So that leaves the rest of today and tomorrow to tell us at least something, otherwise it cannot be sooner than 3rd January 2012, unless someone updates us from home.
It's all a bit last-minute and rushed for my liking.
Still I am optimistic that we will get our man.

I only received my form in the post yesterday so they won't receive that until after Christmas. Maybe more people will be the same situation. There's still plenty of time.

The club said that they needed to give Cooke an answer in early January.
Whether that has changed I have no idea.

My season ticket arrived today thought they may have included a form i've not recieved anything by post or email from the club

An appeal in the Free Press for more people to donate to the Squadbuilder Fund to bridge the shortfall.

Not seen it, does it advise what the shortfall is?

Having supported the club for so long (nearly 30 years now), and experienced the ups and downs, the false promises and failures, I do think this regime is a period of sense and rationality. And long may that reign.
That is why it is infuriating me to see some of the comments on this thread about the club.

This is not the Dons circa 1986. This is not the Dons of the 90's. This is the Dons of the 10's.

On this forum supporters asked for more communication. The club responded and appointed someone to do the job on a part time basis. He has done an amazing job in a very short space of time. Yet this is not enough for some "supporters".

All last season, myself included, there was a general consensus that we needed an experienced half back. The club have acted and asked for supporter help. At the open meeting the club said that a decision would be made in early January and the supporters would be given updates.

The meeting was held last Tuesday. For Christs sake please give them a chance. If we won the Superleague league leaders shield, and trophy, Challenge Cup and World Cup Challenge all in one season I still think some "supporters" would moan.

Supporters are people who pay money to go and watch their club.
Supporters are people who also donate money when asked.
The rest are just fans.
Everyone on here is a supporter.
They pay their money and are entitled to an opinion.
A ''supporter'' is a derogatory term for someone who is actually a supporter, but somehow his/her allegiance is in doubt.
So a ''supporter'' is not actually a real supporter.
Is that what you are saying?
Why don't you have some balls and name them?

The meeting wasn't last Tuesday either. It was a week last Tuesday.

I think if you had just given a promissory note to someone of a value of around several thousands of pounds in total you would like at least some form of acknowledgement or thanks.

You know ...... ''thanks for your efforts, it's going well, we will keep you posted.'' Irrespective of the first week in January thing.
Is that really to much to ask?

If it had been up to certain individuals, half of us would have been banned for our views and hence SILENCED! While at the same time being the people supporting them financially.
Because after all some of us are not real supporters, we are ''supporters''.

Am i a Dons Supporter or a 'Supporter'? I need to know as this is causing me great stress and could ruin my Christmas.
I have a season ticket, attend quite a few away games, sold some raffle tickets and will be joining the squadbuilder fund.
