| Excellent entertainment and a fantastic performance, sending off excepted. Was this only the second penalty conceded in the first half by us?
Can't condone punching but would be interesting to find out what triggered it. Kes had been on the receiving end of some 'attention' for a good 5 minutes running up to the incident and did well not to react.
Loved Tali's second try from the high kick - we're usually on the receiving end of these type of things!
Well done to all concerned, hope the knocks aren't too serious.

| Connor stated that the guy punched him square on the nose, and in his words he just lost it and retaliated. He hopes it shows on the video of the game what started the incident.

| Interesting to see such a committed performance without any dual reg guys.
I'd much prefer to see our own lads play, especially if they can turn in a team spirit like today.

| Good point , agree 100%.
Interesting selection picking 6 props in the 17. Hope Milton is fit soon as he is more creative . Aizue seemed to do a lot of minutes today.

No problem Paul. I'm happy to move on to the 16 who did us proud.

| I'd suggest the spine is starting to take shape:
9 - Kes
13 - Milton (hopefully sooner rather than later)
7 - Delaney/Hedges (good luck on the injury front)
6 - Howden
1 - Carr (quality, has been worth the wait)
The forwards had a good go-forward today to give the half backs something to work with, especially the front row.
I'm hopeful for the rest of the season if we can use today as a springboard.

| Great team effort today.
I thought Jordon Howden looked a class act and made some very good decisions. He added an extra dimension to our play. We certainly need him to stay fit.
Well done to everyone. Excellent entertainment.

| Time for a few comments.
That game gave us an idea where we are at, and that is competitive with the best, but only with our best team.
I don't care what caused Scott to lose it, I really don't, because that is not being a team player or a clever player.
The shoite that provoked him will have been laughing his cock off ... job done..
Yes I now that in REAL life if someone wallops you, you get angry and react.
But this is a game. A TEAM game, where you let your team mates down as a result.
Connor Scott got given a get out of jail card today by the absolute heroic effort of his team, otherwise he would be down the road if it was up to me.
You don't need knucklescraping behaviour like that ....leave that to Rangi Chase!
The smart player thinks ' OK little prick, I will make you pay for that later!'
And smash him in a tackle!
So as that happened I walked up into the restaurant and got a pint.
Not something I do unless severely displeased and short of walking out.
There was no way we could win now, not least because Barrow were the better side up to that time.
But I stayed, and boy was I glad I did
That was an epic win, make no mistake ... for a side to dominate Barrow in the second half with one fewer men and injuries making us down to the bare bones was outstanding.
It got me shouting!!!!!
The best win in yonks!
Trouble is, we need the Delaneys. Thornton do something!
Let's put the Hunslet hoodoo to bed next please and get motoring.
Don't let them make us look silly again at the SLS ....PLEASE?

| finest defensive display ive seen from a Dons side in yonks, the tackling was awesome and it was hurting them.our forward ran themselves daft and the backs were enjoying themselves.you could see confidence in their play.and just for measure the Ref was a clown.well done the boys.

| I am not sure about our left winger anymore.
I don't think he has kicked on and fulfilled his potential.
Any thoughts?

| Massive game from jordan today. Not the easiest 80min first run out but obviously has a good kicking game which we needed. Thought his and delaneys game management in the second half was class.
Well done boys

| With regard individuals on Sunday I thought everyone improved , Brad Foster never gets a mention much but he was excellent .
Just a point about the wingers one has been playing full back , half back & now wing the other centre then got injured & then wing .

| I don't understand how brad didn't get mom! By far his best game he never stopped working. Impressed with Jordan can't wait to see what more he can offer.
No excuse for what Connor did and I'm sure he's kicking himself about it now a lot
Of that team were on the recieving end of some dirty tactics from barrow but didn't retaliate no need for it.
Hoping for a speedy recovery from Mason he was quickly becoming one of our most consistent players.

| What is lacking from the Dons game is forward power.
Given another couple of beefy ball carriers we would take some beating.
But no ... we have just lost Tonks and Scott will be banned.
So rather than moving in the right direction, we are going backwards.
Gary Thornton says in the RL Express that we would be prepared to sign other players should they come along.
Not good enough Gary ... we need some for the Hunslet game or it will be humiliation again.
I would be begging Hull for three big forwards right now!

| No dual reg please , we had 6 props in the 17 and another in the stand. Kelly can replace Tonks in the 17 and if Milton is fit would play 13.
Team spirit was great , D-R may upset things again.

TBH I'm normally one of the ones who doesn't really rate him but loved his work in both attack and defence. I also agree it was a great game from him, although my motm would have been Tom Carr, he's just so crucial to everything we do well in both attack and defence.
Also it was nice to see a bunch of players of their all capable of putting in good kicks. Which was one of the things I was excited about at the start of the season. From memory Carr, Sheriff, Howden, Delaney and Kesick all put good kicks in throughout the game which helped put us on the front foot and maintain pressure.
It was a bright start from Howden as well who looked inventive.
Would just like to mention Jason Tali though as much as I love his tryscoring exploits we need to get him to not sprint out of the line like that as it cost us badly. In fact when he did that was really the only times barrow looked like scoring in the second half for mine.
That being said other than Barrow's first set it was easily our best defensive effort of the season, much improved
Also how nice was it to see us catch kick offs? (mostly, we did miss one short one, but still it was much, much better).

| Tali is jumping out of the line.
But ain't that what coaches are for ON THE DAY? ... to stop it? ... I can't believe Tali isn't being told, or alternatively the others are too slow and they should be told to move up with him.
Dunno, but it needs fixing.
I still think Hunslet will look to steamroller us and try to work it to Barnett.
We need to be able to steamroller back ... not sure we are capable at the SLS of that. It has been embarrassing of late at Hunslet.
The last time of any note Waller and Cas took them on up the middle and got three tries in fifteen minutes, we were 16-0 up.
Guess what happened next ... they thrashed us, because we couldn't keep it going and had no playmakers that day.
Last time out was a DISGRACE ... thrashed again.
There needs to be some considerable effort to lay this hoodoo to rest, because for me half of it is mental and they are losing before they even start.
We have a bit more creativity this time, but have we got the muscle?
I have begun to hate that cold, miserable place and I should imagine it will be like a fridge again on Sunday and will bring more disappointment unless we really get the message across, because when we start to fold there we bloody surrender.
Don't think I will go, which sod's law permitting means they may win.
What is it about that bloody place?
We used to play them in friendlies and beat them!
As for DR ... Feka has been great for us ... we could do with him again.
