thats a worse result than last week
can't be losing games from 16-0 up
still we did that against workington last season away
theres not much better to come next at home to batley we need to keep our heads above water
we don't want to be dragged into battle for bottom 3

but the further we are away from bottom three the better.

That performance was embarassing. There are players in that side that are not good enough/ not committed enough to be wearing the shirt. So lets name names. Firstly Goulding. He is just not good enough. Get Cooke back to stand off, Fawcett at Dcrum half. Goulding is simply not experienced/ good enough to make the ley decisions. Both Clare and Cowling showed no conviction today. Drop them too. Get Butterfield back in at full back. Bring Leaf in at centre for defence (is he even still with us????).Have Edwards at Loose, drop Kelly is also not up to it.

Time to be ruthless Miller.

The one highlight for me today was how bad Aichurch was for Hunslet. He was billed as an England player. Don't see him lasting at Leeds.

Leaf was at the Workington home game with Cunningham.

Thought we should have had enough to win that game, im sure it would have been a "target" game. Big performance next week needed , even that may not be enough. Hope Kes is ok , need players with his enthusiasm .

we were poor this team selection is a definate issue that needs sorting. what happened to kyle? we need him.

We were very poor today worse performance in a long time prob worse than workington away last season. Our tackling is shocking and its about time to play players in their best positions and let Paul Cooke boss us around the field. This dual reg is annoying me aswell let our own players hav the chance to show wot they got b4 adding wakefields 2nd team to it.

Hopefully changes r made for sunday and we give a gud performance : )

To say Cowling was with us last season, some of what I've seen this season is average at best.



He is, can't comment on his match fitness though.

Seems like I've been saving up these posts on here (apologies to the bored of my name) but computers been on the blink and so have I. This season was always going to be a really good test after lasts years whitewash of CH1. After reading good things from some of the games and the praise from Leigh fans after last week, I thought today would be a proper test, the score obviously says so. Massively dissapointed to read that some players hearts don't seem in it, and couple that up with honest hardworking players going on to local amatuer clubs its a bit soul destroying to come to the conclusion that our 'Guest' players are it seems not performing to their parent clubs potential thoughts about them. The Coach needs to find that real balance and the game against Batley could be very interesting.

What will be interesting to watch is a video of their tries.
People who weren't at the match will be amazed.
Now there well may have been obstruction involved, have no idea, BUT, the tries were a disgrace to defence.
TWICE( at least) a guy took the ball in from at around the centre position, no slick passsing involved and waltzed over the try line unopposed from twenty yards out. Absolutely infuriating. That's why I walked!

Take those away and we at least got the bonus point we should have got as a minimum.
But no ...... capitulation instead.

The game did contain one highlight ..... Waller offloading for Castle to go under the sticks.
You don't often get that prop to prop interaction.
PS Make that two ...Castle had set Waller free for the try before that.
And it could have been so different ..........16 up after only 13 minutes..............



Thinking about this game again, we were immense in the forwards early on, but it became clear that this is all we had to offer.
Hunslet however had a better mix and a better kicking game.
Our half backs never turned up.
That's why we lost.

Big injury concerns over Matt Carbutt and Carl Hughes after yesterdays defeat. Kyle Kesik possibly too.

it seemed to me that having gone 16-0 up in about 12 minutes the players assumed it was going to be a walk in the park and lost concentration. There was too much slack play and indiscipline after that and it was rightly punished. We need Butterfield back at full back and Waterman needs to be a bit less confrontational at times. I also think that Goulding is existing on the family name at the moment. Yesterday's match was there for the taking with a bit more application and concentration on the basic points.
