I agree but we can't just forfeit the game because we would get hammered....
I was thinking back to the last but one (IIRC) NRC when a game still outstanding between us and the Skolars (IIRC) was deemed not necessary to play in similar circumstances when both parties wanted to avoid the expense, trouble and backlog of playing it.
It's down to the RFL.

It was-----a nine hour journey there and back in total and no game.

They didn't re-schedule that game.

If it was called off at 10.30am why was Trax FM promoting it at 1.00pm, I rung the club and was told by recorded message that the Barrow game was on last Wednesday at 7.45pm. And I did nt see it was postponed on the club website either.

Hope nobody relied upon these and turned up for the game.

News of fixtures getting called off is distributed via the press association, and the RFL's press list.

When it comes to thrid party news sources (Trax/SportingLife etc) there's not a great deal more can be done. (Particularly as with the Trax case, that they knew but carried on promoting; which i'd guess is down to it not being edited from their running schedule or scripts)

Good point Jemmo , but what about the Club's own website no news on there yesterday ( sunday).

Not sure what level of access they have to the site as it's not actually run by the Club (although in my opinion someone connected to the Club should always have access).

To be fair, I had a phone call from Ray Green asking me to get it on the messageboard and I know that Carl Hall sent text messages to a number of people (myself included).

According to the Star will be played in May.
