Is 'shirt' a means of bypassing the swear filter?

If so, I think they are shirt as well!

I wondered when somone would mention that. Its awful sitting on the East side trying to see whats going on. Can we start a petition to be able to sit in the West Stand

It won't happen, essentially the club would have to pay for both sides of the ground to be open. And half of the supporters would be isolated from the pre/post match stuff in the bar

I mentioned the problem with the shirt numbers after the first friendly - as being the only negative point arising from the match.

I hope the club do take on board the problem.

The announcer on Sunday said, "In the centres for the Dons are ... no shirt numbers given, just names!" How silly was that?

I tried to mark the York players down in the programme as they were announced. No chance! Too many names to check in a too little time!

Suggestion One: Make the shirt numbers black or blue
Suggestion Two: Print a team sheet on the morning of the match to be put in the programme
Suggestion Three: Show the teams on the score board with a constant thread running through from 2.30 to kick off.

Some of these have been done before, it'd certainly help now.

The problem with the announcer on Sunday was that Adam only did the job on 45 minutes notice, as Carl, who normally does it was unavailable, and Rob, who was there as well, was dealing with the scoreboard/music side of stuff.

Teams aren't announced until 2pm, and by that point, people are already coming into the ground. I'll see if I can knock up a 'teamsheet' as an insert for the programme, and if so, I may be able to get one of my spare printers (a small one) with me to do some for the crowd (assuming Carl/Ray give it the all clear).

Teams on the scoreboard pre-Kick Off seems a sound idea to me. More cost-effective than printing team sheets. (although we might still stuggle somewhat with the shirt numbers

)

I agree. Team details on the scoreboard seems most cost effective. I thought that having a teamsheet in the programme, if feasible to do, could have boosted programme sales. The cost of printing would have possibly been offset by more programme revenue.

If teams aren't declared until 2pm, it doesn't seem realistic to get a team sheet printed off.

The scoreboard one can be done pretty easily, it just needs someone to make sure they're put in there ASAP as the team sheet goes up.

From approximately 2.30pm onwards on match days at the Keepmoat, the players and shirt numbers will be shown on the scoreboard to help fans and supporters recognise which player is wearing which shirt.

Well done to the club for taking this on board and sorting it out so quickly.
