Agreed I'll take any win up at Barrow, never easy and a well done to all, players and the travelling faithful.

Darren Holt interviewed on Radio Cumbria says there was very little between the sides, he's not too sure how they lost. But Doncaster we more composed and made the right decisions at the right times when it mattered

According to some, Barrow seem to be one of those clubs we can only ever beat due to good luck, referee bias or some other "non rugby league related issue".

Either that or they have absolutely no grace (as I say, "some" not all).

I am really chuffed for the travelling supporters, they are a great bunch, particularly the naughty ones at the back on the coach.
I went last season and really enjoyed the social side.
The rugby wasn't very good though, that's why I didn't bother this time.

Well after 7 hours travelling in e weather, i am now back home after the Dons beat Barrow and i feel EPIC.

think kesik & spurr were outstanding. there defence was perfect! goulding i think also had a good game. waterman did extremely well under high ball for the condions

Great photos Rob, and great memories of playing Barrow in the hock deep mud at Tattersfield. A few from Barrow had made the trip and I recall them saying they had seen nothing like it. It was shin deep on the Pop side, Like the battle of Passchendaele but with a rugby ball.

To get a result up there is great I was hoping for a losing bonus point at best

How did it work having Fawcett and Bobbie jnr at halfs and Cookey at lock?

Not sure. Dont think cooke gets as much input as he would like while hes at loose. He had to stand back and watch bobbie make a couple of odd decisions which you could tell he wasnt too happy about. Fawcett had another quiet game. Papers commented that cooke led the game but im not sure that was the case. It was won through hard defence and in honesty rub of the green on a few occasions.

Cooke should be stand off IMO he can control the game and talk to the guys easier.

How about 1 of the 3 on the bench.

Doe sit really make a difference what shirt number they are wearing? It's where they stand in the attacking formation that matters most, get them either side of the play the ball one with Fawcett inside one with Kes inside and we two creative options every time. And the option to revert to a more orthodox line up if we wish
