I don't really buy into players playing for a place next season.
I think barring injuries they do there best every game.
The fact is there will be one or two who will want out of Club Shmuck Doncaster.
They will be the better ones.

So we will be starting from square one again virtually, as in the last three seasons.

It's a job locally/dosh/prospects/honours that drive players ... and having a home somewhere.

I agree they do their best in every game barring injuries. It's probably one of the reasons why I think I've enjoyed watching rugby all my life.

I've got loads of respect for anyone who is brave enough to put a rugby shirt on.

They clearly benefit from the money they get from playing but I'm sure the majority do it because they love playing the game. I can't start to imagine the sacrifices they have to make to keep fit and persuade their loved ones that they're going to training after a hard day's work, and that they might come back with a few more broken bones after the weekend match!

Yes, we probably forget what the players do for our entertainment and the pain barriers they put themselves through.

I never forget that they put the bodies on the line and their very livelihood every game.
I am amazed they aren't all forced to wear protective headgear.
Irrespective of whether they prefer to sweat freely, hear freely etc.

It would be out of their hands ...if I ruled the world ... as I should of course.

This just illustrates the stupidity of including a club like Toronto in our league.

It all helps the RFL's masterplan.
Only Toronto in that league is the future.
The other clubs will become important when they (RFL) can find another Toronto.
I mean stepping stones do have a purpose.

That's a very light weight squad , hopefully our defence is better than when we played them at the KM

I'd guess that as there's only 18 men in the squad there wasn't a 19th man available.

I heard from a friend of Mike Kelly he was removed at the last minute due to limited numbers .

I've a feeling we will get beaten by about 60 points which will show how much we have improved since we played them at home.

With the lack of props I'd be surprised if we don't lose by 80. It all depends on how much Toronto want it. If Toronto get their proper game heads we could be in trouble.

We've got to remember that this game isn't realistically one we can win, especially with so many key players missing. The important thing is that we've got everyone fit and available for the following weekend if we're lucky enough to still be in the race.

I'm surprised that they are playing these games in the afternoon. When I was in Toronto in September the temperatures were up around the high 80s. Maybe there are other reasons for playing at that time.
