| Quote ="Tatty Feeld"Just been on the Parking Space App to book a space for tomorrow and guess what, it' not working. What a load of rubbish. Typical Dons. States can't book this space. Try different time or different space.'"
Looks like they've rushed this through without much thought. Seems as though we're being used as guinea pigs tomorrow so they can iron out the flaws. It is beyond belief that they could think notifying us less than 24 before a match is remotely acceptable.
I can't get any sense out of the PC version of Parking Space.
I wonder how the car park passes fit in with this set up? The two don't seem compatible. I wonder why the club never thought to mention this in their communication?
Poor show, I'm afraid.

DM, Rovers put this out prior to their home game against Newport County on 13/01/24. I thought the Club Doncaster umbrella would have covered this. Like Tatty, I have just tried to use the online site and its bloody awful, and didn't recognise the Eco Power stadium on the search box. I suggest you ring the Box Office and see if they can assist

Call the ticket office on 01302 762576 after 12. I can't imagine this is going to run smoothly!
It is working for me, I have added some filters to this one so should take you to the Keepmoat and give parking between 1pm and 7pm for £5. As far as I am aware passes are valid but I will try ad find out.

| That does need ironing out Jemmo. Gives car park 3 which might as well be in Hyde Park and car park 1 which is for Stadium staff I understand and is strictly taboo to park in there. Not a pop at you (as if) but it wont affect the people running both arms of Club Doncaster why should the give a monkeys. I can see some private car park fines being dished out as a result of this.

| I agree, it's been done very badly. I very rarely use the car park but trying to help people out. Not sure why Car Park 2 (which is the main one people use) isn't even listed.

| Thanks for everyone's help. My Car Park pass is for Car Park Two. I didn't have to give my car reg when I bought the pass so I've no idea how the car park company could differentiate between me and others. I presume when payments are made through the app you have to enter your reg number for camera recognition purposes?
Until this year, I've always parked near Lakeside and walked round but I thought that with bigger attendances I'd get a car park pass to take the stress out of the situation. It had crossed my mind that Car Park Two might be full a short while prior to kick-off on busy days so I had wondered whether they'd got designated spaces for pass holders. As a pass holder, in theory, I should be able to turn up five minutes before kick-off and get a place. I have full confidence (not) in Club Doncaster to have their finger on the pulse here!
Just seen your post on here Jemmo about a post on Facebook saying passes are valid. Thanks for that. I gather those who are buying by the phone app aren't going in Car Park Two? Maybe, just maybe, there may be a human on this gate checking passes?
As previously said, this could be a right circus with half the fans not in the ground by kick-off. I'm still not sure whether to take the safe option and park round Lakeside and keep clear of this fiasco.
Once upon a time, sellers would try to make life easier for buyers. Nowadays, the buyer has to conform to the wishes of the seller whether they like it or not. I feel as though society is bullying me into buying a Smartphone that I do not need other than to pay the likes of car park charges on a bloody app!

| I think the bookies would probably give us 10 or 12 points start. Sheffield are proven at Championship level. We've not proven anything yet. They'd be cautious and side with Sheffield.
Here are my thoughts:
1) If we win, we should feel quite confident we'll be at least good enough to stay up.
2) If we win by 16 or more, that's probably top 8 form.
3) If we lose by 12 to 20, welcome to life in the Championship - nothing is going to be easy.
4) Lose by more than 20, and it'll be a serious reality check.
Okay, we shouldn't read too much into one game but these are the markers I've got in mind.
I'm hoping for a six point win for the Dons.

| If i saw anything close to us getting 8 or 10 I'd sell both my kidneys and stagger to the bookies! Last season maybe 12 or 14 but the recruitment and the fact we're at home i really fancy us, man for man i wouldn't swap our team for theirs.

Yep, I'm very hopeful of a win. I'm not sure the bookies would be convinced by our potential until we've won a few. What's your score prediction? Do you think it'll be tight or open?
I'll take a stab at 18-12 to the Dons.

| Couldn't make this one due to illness, how does everyone think we did?
I saw the line up and honestly was baffled. No Hall or Knowles and playing Ferres?
If we were getting minutes into peoples legs I could understand it but then surely we would have played Mafi and Burns?

| I predicted the Dons would win 18-12. I was right...
I'd not factored in that the ref was going to give them 10 points.
Overall, I was encouraged by the performance. We made some mistakes but for this stage of the season, having only played two games as a group, we look like a good team in the making. Sheffield certainly didn't look better than us. In fact, both sides looked quite closely matched. The Dons will improve, maybe Sheffield will too.
Suaia Matagi was a stand-out. I reckon he must have played 70 minutes. I think he went off a few minutes before half-time and came back on shortly after. He is some player. I'm so glad he's on our side.
Tyla Hepi was extremely good when he came on. If he was rusty today, I'd like to see him when he's fully up-to-speed. He loves an off-load and will cause defences plenty of headaches.
Lovodua's try aided by Alex Sutcliffe was great to watch - don't miss that on the highlights. Lovodua oozes class. So glad we signed him.
Brett Ferres worked really hard and looked solid.
Sam Smeaton was as tough as ever.
Our weakness in past seasons is that out pack hasn't been good enough. That isn't the case this time around.
I'll give a quick mention to Sheffield's Joel Farrell and in particular Tendai Gwaze as I thought they were impressive.
I've seen that Widnes lost at Swinton today. That's handy.
Onto car park matters: I flashed my Car Park Pass at Gate Two and was waved through - no problems. A friend of mine - who hasn't got a pass - arrived at Gate Two and was given a QR code to scan. He tried to make a payment but hit problems. I thought only Car Park One and Three were available for payments.
Anyway, my freind went back to the guys on the gate who said no fines would be imposed today. My friend isn't quite sure how he overcomes the problem for the next home match.
When I arrived, I thought Car Park Two must be reserved for pass holders but that obviously isn't the case as my friend was allowed in. I presume that when an online payment is made, the parking company ask for a number plate so they can tell who has paid and who hasn't. Where does this leave me? The club don't know my number plate. I never gave it when I applied for the pass. Will the cameras think I've not paid or maybe the staff on the gate made a note of my number plate to exempt me from a fine? I don't know. I'll ask the guys on the gate at the next match if they are making a record.
Shame we've got to wait a long while for the next home game...
Isn't it so much better being in the Championship compared to League One? We've got an exciting season to look forward to!

| I left frustrated we could have nicked it but more than happy with where we are at this stage of the year and with players still to come back in. Lovodua and Sutcliffe were both exceptional for me. Hepi looked very dangerous if a little penalty prone, but that could be timing after a period without playing. Halliday has really stepped up in a pleasing way.
But as you say DM, the overall thing was the quality of the game was so much higher than we have been watching in League One, it's going to be entertaining

| Yeah I'd echo that, matagi and pauli have added much needed punch, Sutcliffe, halliday and briscoe run the ball in hard for much needed yards, Johnston looked a pest (i still fall for those dummys), think I'd strongly disagree with the ferres comment though he's really looking like a passenger now and his lack of mobility is potentially dangerous for us, i said when he was retained he probably should of joined the coaching staff and thought yesterday proved that. Also think majority of teams will struggle to adapt with the new rule changes and the 'below the armpit' tackle and we will see a record amount of sin bins until players get use to it. All in all it was a good run out plenty of positives plenty we can work on though.

According to BJ and his post match interview Brett got in from a night shift at 7am Sunday morning. Not knocking your comment just perspective on him maybe looking cream crackered. Lets see how many starts he gets when the full squad is available.

| Confusingly they seem to have posted two versions of the highlights.
One called Eagle Eye where as far as I can tell the main difference is the camera height is level with the players if not lower.
Does anyone fancy explaining to the team called the Eagles what an Eagle Eye View actually is, could be a little awkward?
