Here's a few words to keep Askern Lad happy. I said there should be a forum, there's going to be one. I said people weren't happy about the bar, it's being opened to all and I said quite a few matches ago that Cookes performances on the pitch were not good enough,now he admits it on the Don's website. All three I got stick for,well who's talking crap now?As good as the lad Groat maybe and I'm sure he is a good signing,all you lot have to realise now is that it is a signing that is designed to stall the criticism of nothing being done to get the Dons out of the current predicament. Unless of course the signing has the effect of restoring the desire and spirit that carried the team through so many games last season. It would be great if that happens but I fear several more signings are needed to turn things around.

Tatty feeld, you could say that about the majority of the players, we haven't been good enough, hence the position we are in, not just Paul Cooke. I would still rather see him in the team as he can create space for others by attracting attention from the opposition, who saw him as our main playmaker. I think it's a pretty bold decision he's made, whether it's the right one, time will tell.

Just wish we had another Paul Mansson or even Kev Jones for that matter.

The advert for the forum has been worded slightly wrong. I spoke to Carl Hall a couple of days ago about how the comment sounded. He told me that he would just like fans to email so that he can see how many want to attend, so they can decide which room to use. its not about that only certain people would be invited. Everyone who emails will be free to attend and put ther question forward to hopefully be answered.

No more signings this week and now we are told that the signing of Matt Groat has been funded by Dons4life for which supporters must obviously be grateful.However can someone please explain to me why this is despite the following. Biggest budget, rent from Sheffield, increased attendances and car parking receipts, no winning pay paid out all season and Lee Waterman no longer on the payroll. Just where is the money going. Paul Dikov has been told he must adopt a frugal approach to strengthening the Rovers for next season so what chance have the Dons got when they are second fiddle to the Rovers. It's an absolute bloody disgrace and as long as Club Doncaster exists the Dons will never get a sniff of Super League and the Rovers will not play in the Championship again. Chairman of the Rovers Terry Bramall is worth in excess of £100 million and even donated £2 million to Birmingham University but what exactly does he do for the Rovers?His henchman Baldwin is going to sit at the top table at the Dons meeting of an invited audience so good luck to those attendees who will have to listen to two hours of crap at the Keepmoat.

You are being offered the chance to voice your concerns to all the relevant parties at this meeting, yet you choose not to attend. Why?
If you care about the club as much as you say, then I am sure you would want to voice your opinion and listen to the Directors views on taking the club forward.

Good point but I don't want to waste my time listening to two hours of bull. The people sitting on the top table know why the Dons are in this situation but they will not come out and admit it.

It strikes me that you've already got your opinion of those at the top end of the club, and no amount of talking by those in charge will change it.
As for your comment last night about 'the money saved by Lee Waterman not being on the payroll', IIRC, he was on match terms only, so would only have got paid per match played, and nothing else.

Tatty, you called for a meeting and now you've got one, but you're not going to go.

This is your opportunity to get answers to the questions you've raised with regards to funding, etc.

If you feel you're being fed bull, then you can challenge the answers given.

Thanks for putting me right about Lee Waterman and it's correct about the meeting.However after reading about the budget restrictions placed on Dikov at the Rovers and that Dons4life have funded the signing of Matt Groat I have had enough. I bought a season ticket through information given to me before the season started and that didn't materialise, I suspect because of the door being slammed shut by Baldwin.So you could say I am rather bitter about what is going on which is why I am hanging up my boots and will not be attending any further games unless my son asks me to go whenever he's back in the country. Mind you that may not materialise because he too is a passionate supporter but cannot understand what the hell is going on. So probably a good time to please a few members of the forum and say Bye Bye from the Oracle.

No wonder people are getting fed up of the situation and i don't blame them.

I have heard that the new signing deal has not yet been finalised he is not a 6,7 or 9 but i know the club are looking for new players. I have been told that they have got money to spend but it needs to be spent on the right players, also finding players that are available. Heard that Jordan Abdul may be in the team this Sunday.
Lets hope we give Bradford a game on Sunday.
