Well, don't know about xmas, but only 4wks today untill our
first pre-season match against Hull FC.

Can't wait, looking forward to seeing the new squad together and some
busting runs from Mitch.

It appears that York will be requesting to play their pre-Season friendly with Hull at the Keepmoat Stadium on the same day (11 Jan 2015) that the Dons entertain Hull.

Bootham Crescent was to be the venue for York v Hull but it seems that the City Knights and York Council have yet to reach an agreement on the rugby club using the ground.

The approach, if agreed, would see Hull sending two squads of 20 players to the Keepmoat.

Jamie Bloem got a 2 year ban for less than that. Surely a disripute charge to follow.

Great effort from the boys after a bad start. Wilko, Waterman, Spiers looked good from the old guard. Some of the new boys looked handy too (but in but sure which ones they all were)

We turned a peno kick down to win it ... and with Waterperson in superb kicking form too.
If they are gonna go for drop goals then why didn't we show the same nous?
A bit pants really as in amateurish!

Still I really enjoyed it, but it's only when we play Hunslet that we know what's what.

Hull drop goals are a collectors item. It was probably more valuable for us to practice those than it was to put the ball through hands.

That will be our one and only drop goal for the season lol

I agree with Jemmo tbh I'm glad we went for the try rather than take the goal. In a friendly why not? Obviously in a real game we would have taken the two but there was a reason there was a chorus of boo's when they took the kick and tbh I'm not entirely convinced they all came from our fans.

I can't imagine any Hull fans booing. I know the result is inconsequential but that was a very young Hull team, and beating you is a good scalp for them. Regardless of the game or the teams involved winning is a good habit to get into. You should always try to win the game even if it's sometimes a bit ugly.

Well tbh I was just judging by the noise coming from behind and the fact that I seemed to be in an area with a few Hull fans and it sounded louder than just the usual Donny lot. That being said obviously booing is something heard rather than seen so I cannot say for sure.

Enjoyed the match , was impressed with Waterman & agree about Spiers & Wilko .
Hull full back looked good .
