Agreed. As has been pointed out elsewhere, 501 for such an important game yesterday was very disappointing.

Sunday's game will go a very long way to deciding if home advantage in the play-offs can be secured. It would be good to see a bigger crowd there to get behind the Dons in the quest for 2nd or 3rd spot.

it should be a great game,played by two teams who enjoy open rugby. you have beaten us twice and have deserved to on both occasions, but were a different beast now,and after wins against swinton and keighley,we are probably the inform team in the division,with donny not too far behind. i think the winner will more or less guaranteed a minimum of 3rd place and with the cougars going to our hated neighbours on the last day of the season,then 2nd is a really big possibility. hopefully there will be many town fans travelling to your fantastic stadium,and hopefully help create a fantastic atmosphere. all the best.

Workington were the best side I have seen this season & D Holt was outstanding.
We were poor , no ideas , poor discipline , no kicking game & little enthusiasm .


Was it just a bad day at the office , what has gone wrong since the last quarter of the Haven game.

in my opinion only carbutt butts and kesik played like they wanted to win. and the passion was written all over kesiks face after the match. emmet fawcwtt and spaven were shocking. never looked interested. we need to be better at gateshead. come on dons!!

I can only observe that the forum being down has led to a lack of praise for the Dons.
I was called away (a euphemism) at about 63 minutes of this top-of-the-table-clash and I missed all of the Dons points.
Workington were just scoring a try at [size=200NIL[/size-25 as I left the stadium. Imagine my disappointment?
But I whistled away as I skipped up the road into Donny, content that I had purchased my season ticket knowing that the lads are nailed on to get us into the same league as Sheffield.

Oh dear ... the Dons were Out-muscled, Out-paced, and Out-thought throughout the game.

Full credit to Workington who won with plenty to spare.

In the first game against Workington we matched their pack. Not this time - they got far too many off-loads away and ran us ragged.

It was a similar display to Keighley away for the Dons.

As we don't have a general, we seem to lose our way when we get under pressure. Our other weaknesses are then exposed.

I agree with Donny11 that Mick Butterfield, Kyle Kesick, and Matt Carbutt were our best players. They were the ones who looked capable of breaking the Workington line.

I think the rest of the lads tried. I don't want to be critical of them in that department. The truth was that Workington were a much better side and we couldn't handle them.

Come on lads ... let's get back on the right track with a good win at Gateshead! See you all there!
