If we lose but York beat Newcastle and Barrow beat Keighley, we'll still finish 5th.

If we draw, we'd still be overtaken by either Newcastle or Keighley if they won.

If we were to assume that Newcastle and Keighley are even money chances to win their games (they'd probably be longer odds to win than that if Barrow and York are trying their best to win), the odds of both losing would be around 3/1. That would mean the Dons have something like a 25% chance of making the play-offs.

In reality, as I've been skinny with the Newcastle and Keighley odds, we've probably got a slightly better than a 25% chance, maybe a 30% chance of still being 5th at 5pm on Sunday.

The bookies aren't showing any prices for the games yet. It'll be interesting to see what odds they come up with.

Regardless of the result this weekend, the game should tell the coach a little bit more about who he wants to keep and who he wants to release, so the players should have plenty to play for from a personal point of view.

I don't really buy into players playing for a place next season.
I think barring injuries they do there best every game.
The fact is there will be one or two who will want out of Club Shmuck Doncaster.
They will be the better ones.

I agree they do their best in every game barring injuries. It's probably one of the reasons why I think I've enjoyed watching rugby all my life.

I've got loads of respect for anyone who is brave enough to put a rugby shirt on.

They clearly benefit from the money they get from playing but I'm sure the majority do it because they love playing the game. I can't start to imagine the sacrifices they have to make to keep fit and persuade their loved ones that they're going to training after a hard day's work, and that they might come back with a few more broken bones after the weekend match!

Yes, we probably forget what the players do for our entertainment and the pain barriers they put themselves through.

I never forget that they put the bodies on the line and their very livelihood every game.
I am amazed they aren't all forced to wear protective headgear.
Irrespective of whether they prefer to sweat freely, hear freely etc.

This just illustrates the stupidity of including a club like Toronto in our league.

It all helps the RFL's masterplan.
Only Toronto in that league is the future.
The other clubs will become important when they (RFL) can find another Toronto.

He-moody sorry miloudi is being charged for spitting which carries an 8+ match ban so why on earth is he named in the squad? he should of been packed off back to hull at 5pm last sunday

That's a very light weight squad , hopefully our defence is better than when we played them at the KM

I'd guess that as there's only 18 men in the squad there wasn't a 19th man available.

I heard from a friend of Mike Kelly he was removed at the last minute due to limited numbers .
