| Well it needs a thread, so here it is.
I can only surmise that the lack of posts regarding this game is not a sign of confidence.
I think we will lose, no beating about the bush.
Call it being pessimistic if you like, but it changes nothing.
Can anyone tell me when we last won at Barrow and what was the score please?

| If we have the same ball control and decision making as we did on Sunday then you will be correct. Personally i don't see us winning up there. We lost all three trips to Cumbria last year and i don't see that changing this year. I hope i am wrong but i think a bonus point on Sunday will be a good result.

| Hope the Dons get something out of the game but on last weeks showing I hope some attacking moves have been worked on in training. Cumbria is always a hard place to go but then again its the same for them coming to sunny South Yorks lol.

| Barrow v Dons Match Preview
Doncaster Rugby League Club will be looking to register their first win of the season when they travel to Cumbria on Sunday to face last season's Grand Final opponents Barrow Raiders (3pm kick-off).
Both teams suffered defeats in their opening games last weekend when the promoted sides experienced life in the Kingstone Press Championship for the first time.
Dons' head coach Tony Miller looks set to make checks on both Craig Robinson and Grant Edwards who missed last week's home game against Dewsbury Rams. Centre Liam Cunningham is almost certain to miss out after sustaining a shoulder injury against the Rams.
Wakefield's dual registration Liam Kay, who made his debut for the blue and gold's last week, is facing a late fitness test after suffering a groin strain in training. The remaining Wildcats' dual registrations Bobbie Goulding and Danny Cowling will make the journey to Craven Park.
Castleford's loan signing James Clare is also included in the Dons squad after being recalled by his parent club last week. The 21 year-old Super League winger is expected to make his debut for the club.
Miller has warned his side that they need to be switched on at all times to be able to cope with life in the Kingstone Press Championship said: "We just weren't smart enough against Dewsbury last week.
"We panicked and tried to go down the blind side too many times when it was the wrong decision. It's something we need to work on.
"We've put that behind us now and we're looking forward to our next challenge against Barrow where I'll be looking to get a positive response from the lads."
The two clubs met on four occasions last season in Championship One with both teams winning twice. Miller added: "We're expecting a very tough game up in Cumbria and we'll need to be on the top of our game to get the win as it's a venue where we have struggled to get points in the past.
"It's obviously a repeat of last year's Grand Final so I'm sure that'll add some extra spice to the fixture."
Barrow Raiders head coach Darren Holt faces a minor reshuffle after winger Lee Haney suffered a knee injury last week.
Holt said: "It's not looking good for Lee, and he brings something that other wingers don't, but we've got plenty of cover."
Barrow went down 42-12 against Hunslet Hawks last week, and Holt admits his side has work to do: "The score was a fair reflection, there's no getting around it. We were like rabbits in headlights.
"We started the game OK, but then we kicked the ball out on the full and from there it was a downward spiral.
"We've a young squad, a lot of whom are new to the Championship intensity and standard, but the boys are a lot better than they showed last week."

only on paper. we'll have to wait untill ko to see if he appears or not!
Also i think if our forwards perform and we play abit smarter than last week we could just sneek a win.
which would be fantastic but a losing bonus point would be better than nothing
probably need a smarter ref than last week aswell

| A great result for the Club and I echo the sentiments that it must be very pleasing for those who made the journey to Craven Park.

| Darren Holt interviewed on Radio Cumbria says there was very little between the sides, he's not too sure how they lost. But Doncaster we more composed and made the right decisions at the right times when it mattered

| "The game was still scrappy in the mud as the rain continued to pour, but Doncaster put themselves in command with 11 minutes to go as Bobbie Goulding Jnr went in after what appeared to be a double movement.
Another contentious score followed as a forward pass sent Lee Waterman away and Adam Clay looked to have him tackled, only for referee Gareth Hewer to ignore both and allow him to get up to score."
Luck with us according to Barrow journo.

| According to some, Barrow seem to be one of those clubs we can only ever beat due to good luck, referee bias or some other "non rugby league related issue".
Either that or they have absolutely no grace (as I say, "some" not all).
Holt didn't think there was anything wrong with them, neither did the guys on the radio
