'open draw' ?

Its the 3rd round draw so it includes the Dons .

The draw is timed for 6pm in Gateshead but cannot find out if on any radio station.

Can anyone help please.

I would imagine that at least one of the local BBC Radio stations from the heartlands of the game will broadcast the draw live ie Radios Leeds,Manchester,Humberside,Cumbria,Merseyside.
If you listen to one of there sports bulletins tomorrow I'm sure they will mention if they are planning to broadcast the draw live.

There was no sound on the rl website coverage.

The Dons have been drawn at home to Siddal (Halifax) in the third round of the challenge cup.

Came through at 6.36 pm on Radio Leeds.

Siddal are a good outfit, looking at the draw I'd suggest we're amongst the favourites for a "shock"

Siddal are the best amatuer team in the country... I can smell an upset!!

Fook me....we haven't even played them and we've lost.
As long as we don't get a repeat of the last time we played amateurs.....may the better team win.

No one has said we have lost, just that when the best lower league team comes to a team that are still an unknown quantity it is bound to be the centre of attention

I tend to remember last time we played Siddal, them all turning up tanked up to the eye balls with a few looking for trouble...but that was 6 or 7 years ago

Sounds like the draw was a typical farce yesterday.

They couldn't get sound on the live feed, and also had no graphics or explanantion to who the numbers meant, so it took half an hour for press agencies to find out the draw.

AND...They had to do the draw twice, because after the first time they realised they had forgot to put Wath Brow in the bag (which even more complicated with no sound or explanantions)

It is to be hoped then that there are adequate precautions in place for this game that help to ensure there is no repeat of the disgraceful scenes from the Queens match. I'm sure that given the right contacts the club will check this out and the game of Rugby League does not get the unwanted publicity as per last year.

Has anyone noticed that this kicks off at 1.30 on Saturday ?
What is the reason for this and is this included on the Season Ticket ?

Third round of the cup is, I believe, included in your season ticket

Hadn't noticed the scheduling of the game but the Queens fixture was also a Saturday IIRC. I think that there are often a number of third round fixtures played on Saturdays as that's when the amateurs who qualify generally play.

Reference the Season Ticket, as Jemmo has said, it was indicated when they went on sale that the CC Third Round fixture was included.

I donot think the club have confirmed it is to be Saturday 06/03/10 at 1.30pm, I noticed it on Siddal's website.
