Hate to say this but that Matchday senior price is a bit steep. It was £6 last season was it not ?

They know we are an ancient mob......


I think that last year the senior season ticket of £60 (I believe) was under-priced and should have been more.
So £80 is fine by me......and they have brought the adult one down from £120 to £100.
However the pay at the gate senior price of £10 is a joke....and at complete variance with most other clubs who have a ratio of about 7 or 8 to twelve.
A ratio of 10 to 12 is farcical and should be reduced. The price should be £8 and should be changed now....but will they listen???
I demand the price is changed....

Yes Alan the matchday price for O.A.P. is steep I wish I had had a rise of 67% on my Pension.What a kick in the teeth for the people who have supported the club over the years.Carl Hall says the club are on a tight budget but so are some pensioners for Division 1 rugby it is a ludicrous price.If one wants one can watch super league cheaper and all it means is that people will be more selective in the games that they watch and could be every other home game at best if they are lucky.I subscribed to the supporters trust more than the the going rate for pensioners but doubt my integrity now.

I might be wrong here but having attended the Fans-Forum last week i cannot
remember anything being said re the match-day admission price for Pensioners being £10.

Some of these guys have been supporting the club for half a century
and they certainly don't deserve to be treated this way.

The club has to be run on a tight budget but the last thing we want to
happen is to alianate the very people who have stood by the Dons for so long.

Hi, Can i just say that the supporters trust has got nothing to do with the running of the club or the cost of season tickets, we are totally independant from the clubs decisions.

We at the supporters trust was charging £10 for adults and £5 for pensioners, why have we been brought in to the club season ticket argument?

But as club liaison officer from the trust i will forward these postings to the Dons, I just dont understand why the Supporters trust has been mentioned in this post.

The Dons have had season after seasons of doom, gloom and continuous bust because of mis-management of one kind or another ! I would think it’s about time some people should be thinking of taking their Partisan head off and putting on a business head during these times of hardship.

If I remember rightly Leeds Utd fans where up in arms with Ken Bates first took over and his drastic measures seem to be starting to pay off.



I would also bring back the Dragon tag for marketing.

Bruce , it wasnt mentioned about the £10 admission for games but it was on the application forms handed out to those who attended !

For what its worth I think the club needs to have a re think on the Pensioners prices !

Mister C free bus passes are OK if buses run to where you want to go.I have used mine twice in 6 years.

Rugbyman I was not getting at the supporters trust my contribution to them was entirely voluntary tying to help the section who are trying to help the club but feel agrieved that we are treated in this manner by the club after all the years of supporting the club by attending matches and various fund raising schemes

I don't know how these prices are arrived at......but one thing is sure someone sat down and did some sums based around what the base income should be from ticket sales.
Now I hope that this was based on the demographics of the make-up of our core support.
I do hope someone didn't just chuck figures into a hat to make up that base amount.
It would be better for the adult price to increase by a quid for the senior price to come down £2.

IMHO...of course.

But managers are there to manage....so good luck to them.
However it does pay to do a little market research first....and ask customers what is fair.
Now some people will want something for nothing....but most people are sensible and would have a feel for what sensible prices should be for the club to make a go of it.

Even though the kid for a £1 was mentioned in great detail at the Forum.
To be honest had it been mentioned i'm sure someone would have questioned the logic of it.

I think the match day & season ticket prices are a bit high. My father in law commented on that when he saw the prices.

But the whole point is that the OAP price has been upped by £4 on last years price.
Thats a rise as others have already pointed out of over 66%

If its not ok in your view to raise the Adult price by £1.

Then it's surely can't be fair to raise the OAP price by £4.

The club is rightly so being run on a tight budget--but there will be many OAP supporters
out there also on a tight budget and we can't afford to lose anymore supporters next season.

And there are a good few adult's who have been brought to the game by their parents
who are now OAP's and if one stops coming the others may choose not to come also.

I think it is the principle as much as the actual money.....it's just not right to hike a price by two thirds to some of the least well off.

Just to inform you on the season ticket prices when we were in this Division 2008 the prices were as follows.

Adult Season: early bird £140, price from 1st Dec £165 Match Day £=red15.
Senior Citizen: early bird £90, price from 1st Dec £110, Match Day =red£10
Under 16's were £6 or £40 for season ticket.

We are trying our best to keep it simple there were about 7/8 ticket prices before which is confussing to everyone.

Most people are happy with the OAP season ticket price which covers NRC group games and all league games works out under £7 a game, so solution buy season ticket.

And what I will say is we do care about everyone but we also understand not everyone will be happy with the decision's we have to make.

We appricate all our loyal fan's support.

Yes Carl.. ...but even at those prices the differential was acceptable.
As I have said before senior prices are typically half of adult plus £2 about.
So based on a £15 adult ticket, the senior ticket should be £7.50 + £2 =£9.50......so the actual one of £10 was about right.

However this time you have set it too high....OR....the adult price too low.

What about away support they will be paying at the gate and won't be impressed.

And as for season tickets.....in recent years people have been put off....by the fact that we lost half the team two years out of three and would sooner pay at the gate just in case.

"Solution buy a season ticket" Thats your idea of listening to you core support. Sorry I disagree, and the squad that we were watching in 2008 was in my opinion a tad better than the current one. And if the senior fans do not wish to buy a season ticket thats it then.

I paid £60 for my season ticket last season at the beginning of January, which makes a 33% increase for next season for playing in a lower league.As I had to miss some matches due to holidays, special occasions I see no point in buying a season ticket for next season based on the proposed increase. Probably £70 would be more acceptable with a reduced match day price of £8
