| The excellent win at batley has, to some degree, taken the pressure off this as a"must win" game, but if play offs are to be achieved, needs to be a win. Should be confident going into the game , and hopefully see some of the free flowing attack that was on show last season.

| A glance at the fixtures show that this could be a week when most of our rivals lose.
So a win would promote us substantially.
A must win game.

| Dear Santa, can we have at the Keepmoat the Dons side that played at Batley and Fev and not the Dons side who played at home against Hunslet. Lots of Love Al.

| In ten years time rugby league will have ceased to exist as a pro/semi pro sport in this country.

| Why all the doom and gloom guys?
Our sport is a great one.
True, the competition from other sports is probably greater than at any other time, but I believe the future looks bright.
Bringing back promotion and relegation will give the game a huge boost and will make it more attractive to sponsors. It could well get some of the lost fans back as the franchise system certainly alienated a lot of supporters.
There are too many sensible and dedicated people involved in the game for it to die.
The question for me is whether the RFL can make the game flourish. Brian Barwick has a wealth of experience and I'm hopeful that he can bring about positive changes, increase general revenue streams into the game, which in turn will help everyone get a greater slice of a much bigger cake. This is the key to the sport's future.
There have been errors made in the past, such as the Stobart sponsorship deal that brought in no money, but we should be enthused that the RFL are listening to clubs, and that they recognise change is necessary.
I've no doubts that Rugby League will still be a pro/semi pro sport in this country in ten years time. I'm very hopeful it will be in a stronger and better financial position then than now.

| BIG Match Preview
Doncaster Rugby League Club play the first of two consecutive home games this Sunday when they take on Barrow Raiders in the Kingstone Press Championship at the Keepmoat Stadium (3:00pm kick-off).
Doncaster's head coach Tony Miller will be aiming for a hat-trick of wins after steering his side to victories over both Batley Bulldogs and Hunslet Hawks in the last fortnight. Miller's side could move into the top eight on Sunday if other results go in their favour.
The Dons will be looking to field the same side that beat Batley with Danny Cowling and Liam Kay available from Wakefield once more. Kyle Trout featured in Friday night's West Yorkshire Derby against Leeds and is therefore unavailable.
The fans and supporters of Doncaster will be hoping for more of the same after last week's unexpected demolition of Batley at Mount Pleasant. Miller said: "We were very impressive against the Bulldogs last week and everybody worked hard for one another.
"Our forward pack provided a great platform for our half backs to control and influence the game and I thought we were worthy winners on the afternoon.
"Barrow will see this as a must win game given their current league position and will look to make things difficult for us from the very first minute.
"They have some good players within their squad and are led well by their captain Liam Harrison who is a quality back rower.
"It's important that we keep our composure and back up last week's win with another good performance and look to keep this momentum going."
Barrow Raiders head coach Darren Holt will give late fitness tests to Kurt Haggerty (wrist) and Dan Toal (head), and is hopeful both will be cleared for action at the Keepmoat Stadium.
But Holt has sent out a warning message to his troops, despite last week's 28-26 win over Hunslet and said: "There are some players who have just done the wrong things at the wrong time and that can't keep happening.
"They either learn from their mistakes, or they simply won't be playing. It has to be that way from here on in."
"If we ever manage to get an 80-minute performance on the pitch, then I feel sorry for whoever we are playing against."

| Top win.
Wasn't there, on hols.
There were some dodgy results today ....
My mate thinks the sport is bent.
I don't by the way.
But I can see why he thinks that way.

| Yes a good win today. Very good defence. What won us the game was the first 20 minutes. However I was concerned by the way we dropped off in the second half. Looked some veey tired players.

Indeed on both counts ... commented during the game that crowds of that level have to be a major concern.
