Think Hally is right playing down expectations, we definitely have the best quality of squad we've had in some years but the level of competition is very strong. Staying in this league is vital and if the club sticks by their word to keep improving it every season then I'm happy, my biggest concern currently is the size of the squad, many of our rivals are running with probably the same amount of players but can fall back on a dual reg super league team for help and that could be decisive.

We've not been happy with DR in the past so would be brave for the club to go down that route, unless it was for emergencies only.
On the other hand we have played the Loan game very well in recent years

In an ideal world DR isn't a thing i despise the idea but for me we have a stronger side than swinton but when they can call on st helens fringe players it's a massive leveller. I'm happy we're not involved with DR but think we're a couple light squad wise.
