Quote ="Stand-Offish"If one looks at the sides that could well beat the Dons on their patch...there is only Skolars and Cornwall that you would not include.
So. Workington, Dewsbury, North Wales, Midlands, Hunslet, Rochdale and Oldham could beat the Dons on their patch and then a few could beat us at our place.
It doesn't look good does it?
I mean it's in the lap of the gods, out of our control, random etc.
Horne as got THIS season and he's gone if we don't go up...
So I think he will be lucky to survive.
How many more times can he keep blathering on about being outmuscled?
He formulated the side...if they're crap then it's down to him.'"
After watching the Oldham and Hunslet games, we're some way off where I thought we'd be given that we've got a relatively settled side from last season.
We have got scope to improve but I too fear that we're not going to be dominent in this league.
In fact, it could be a very tight scrap between quite a number of teams.
The common theme in all Richard Horne's teams is that we've never been able to outmuscle the better sides. We can walkover the lesser lights but that's not a good measure.
We'll know more in a few weeks' time when we've played Rochdale, Workington (cup) and N Wales.
