One disappointment yesterday, I've not managed to find the attendance reported anywhere yet but there were very few people there, I'd be surprised if the total was three figures.

Talking to Hector McNeill, he was saying that many locals choose to get out of London on bank holiday weekends.

League Weekly gives the attendance as 325 (clearly wrong) whareas League Express states 186.

To get to even 186, they must have counted both squads and coaching staff!

Seriously though, I can only surmise that the figure includes absent season ticket holders.

It must be soul destroying for the people running the clubs at the bottom end of our league. It really is a chicken and egg situation. It's hard to build up a decent fan base when you're not very competitive in the league. Having said that, it's not easy to build up a fan base full stop.

You have to admire the people behind the scenes at these clubs for keeping going.
