wigan athletic ,hull city,burley and many more clubs are not bigger than leeds but at least theyve had the chance to live the dream and play in the top tier! which the chiefs of our game have taken away I can see both arguments as in we dont want to see clubs boom and bust but its still nice to see a success story little club come good and if they are by far the best team in the league then they deserve the chance to promotion or we could see in championship case fev win title for nxt 3 years and gain nothin but be a big fish in a little pond! which the fans and other clubs will think whats the point

I can remember fans shouting at the players at the end of one match & theplayers looking bemused.

I can remember someone having a go at me at one of those games where we we got shown up at home, because I said they were rubbish.
He can't have been a true supporter like me.







Mind you, I have learned from several encounters like that one, to not criticise the players.
That's probably why I walk out instead.

Ultimatly the franchise system is flawed, it weakens the clubs outside SL, and weakens the clubs in SL that it purports to protect, RL in this country is dominated by 4/5 clubs, it needs the rest of SL to catch up with them to emulate the NFL/NRL, but the lack of meaningful competition means these clubs wont improve, they effectively have nothing to play for

Meanwhile the clubs outside SL are unable to attract the neccessary investement needed to improve themselves

The whole sport is obsessed with TV money, the governing body also are short sighted in ways of improving the sport outside SL, effectively giving away the Championship coverage for nothing

The governing body will never improve the finances of the Championships , only the clubs can achieve that, until they realise that, decline will continue

As for the OP, it is the fairest way, evn if it makes a mockery of the play offs, effectively making the whole Championship GF s day worthless
