To help raise funds for the future of the Dons Alick Jeffries is organising a Sportsman Dinner @ Earl of Doncaster on the 30th July 2009.

Guest speaker is rugby legend Alex Murphy.

Tickets for the event can either be purchased individually at £40 per head or £400 per table. If possible please give your support to this event and help Alick raise the club some funds.

I totally agree somtimes we don`t help ourselves.
About 120 turned out and it was a great sucess, don`t know how much was raised but it must have been a few quid.

I agree. Even allowing for the poor turnout, there were over 300 in attendance and I bet only a handful knew about the Sportsmans Dinner.

Why no announcements before kick-off on Sunday, at half-time etc.

I am genuinely pleased it was a success but why trust luck?

Just yet another example of the shambolic organisation of the club.
And there still some people who are willing to give some of the existing
management another chance.
I repeat this is our last chance to get it right.

i spoke to afew people about the event they normally club together for a table when events have happened in past but none of them knew about it
