You can be sure of one thing about Paul Cullen. He is a proper Rugby League man.
Uncompromising, hard as nails and a genuine utility player in the days when that term had specific value, he had a mean streak and let others know it.
In terms of being coach here his biggest plus for me is how he understands the genuine passion of Widnes fans for their club.
Warrington through and through in his playing days, he was proud to represent his home town club. In some senses he is a throwback.
Despite his heritage he is a top RL bloke in my book.

Cullen is starting to piece together a fine looking jigsaw, he makes all the right noises in the media too. Upon arrival he probably thought he was taking on a sinking ship but our season is back on track now, and through the right training set up and a few loan additions we are starting to look like a team capable of reaching that gf. Have to heap a lot of praise of Mick Cassidy too though IMO.

I agree. The team really picked up once Cassidy was on board.

Cull is very well spoken, speaks sense a lot of the time, he gets slated for his openness occasionally but thats his job.
