On what basis could SOC take the RFL to court? If you had concrete rules and a legally set of binding criteria then maybe you'd have a case but the sheer vagueness of the whole franchise system makes legal action nigh on impossible - not to mention the risk of alienating the RFL forever should a course of action be started.

That's the thing which actually might make it possible imo. Widnes would probably have to win everything from now on though to have a strong case.

A lot would also depend on which club they put in ahead of us too. Personally I doubt he'd take them to court. I think he'd just pack it in. And I wouldn't blame him for doing so.

The last franchises couldnt be appealed against, the next ones are open.........safe to say we are the strongest link so nobody will moan when we get in.
