Sorry been away sorting some business and not had time to respond. Unfortunately I cannot let anything out of the bag, but enough to say that the hierachy are not resting on their laurels and indeed as previously said the deals will be very significant. One of the players has been confirmed due to the other SL signing happening and the others should follow. Their will be other signings if the right players are available and rememeber alot of SL contracts are not ending till end nov/dec.

Nick it am too impatient to wait till december.

How many are you ment to be signing? It will be interesting to see how it works and how clubs regular players react to having the possibility of lots of changes made to the team each week.
I havnt even heard a mention of Fax looking at any Dual Regs. Maybe we will get one or two from Bradford or Huddersfield but personally i feel its a waste of time, its just another way to get Championship teams to develop talent for SL.

Word over here is that a former GB prop from our neighbours may be signing for you, apparently Cullen tried to sign him when he was at Warrington.

Paul Cullen was at the recent reserve Grand Final Wigan V saints.

He was impressed by a few of the Wigan players.

You should here something soon, as Michael Maguire arrives this weekend and the reserves are back in for pre-season next Monday.

I heard he would favour a move to Yorkshire but i believe his agents valuation and Fax's valuation are worlds apart.maybe he

Not according to my P.A she is an avid FC fan (think i'll sack her

) and she reckons he will go to Widnes.

I think Kevin Penny and Chris Dean are 2 of them, Dean has really come on at Saints and made 10 appearances last year scoring 6 tries so he has a good record. He also scores more than a try a game at reserve level. Penny needs no introduction.

Were also getting someone from Wigan for the baackline and in my eyes that leaves a couple of potentials in Darrell Goulding and Karl Pryce.

We will also be adding a second dual player for the back row from either Wigan/Saints/Wire.

IMO we need a 13. The club have already stated Tomkins will share the no 9 role with Smithy so at the moment I pressume we're relying on Chris Gerrard.

Gerrard is a gamble but i suppose you have to trust Cullen on that one, with a full pre season behind him lets hope he goes well. From a few keen observers of the Wigan reserve side he's meant to have a real good set of hands.

Now that would be a good signing.

Wow that would be a decent player for our division. We've got quite decent strength in depth for the prop position already, so he wouldn't be expected to play 80 mins a week. With Gannon, Haggerty, Pickersgill already here, any other decent prop signings would be the icing on the cake.

Typical of me, I thought it might be him or PK, I took the wrong option in a 50/50 guessing game as usual

Well since the start of the post two signings of note have come in totally out of the blue(well to most) and things are definately not over on that front. People can have their say about Gardener, but with a good half back kicking game there is nothing better than pace and a lad his size will be difficult to stop. The jigsaw is shaping nicely and still some names to come.....

Totally agree - we always had the basis of a decent team, but with very little strength in depth. With Gardener and Allen adding to the other permanent signings and with the loanees still to be announced, things certainly are looking far better.
