Dodd's wrapping up a move to Halifax, surprised it's not been announced yet. It will be soon.

Looks like Worrincy wont be re-signed if that's correct.



Dont know much about Dodd, but be surprised if he is a lot better than Worrincy if Widnes are letting him leave.

Mind Widnes seem to be letting everyone go at the moment



Q. is Dodd any good?

He's a Fullback but has spent most of his career at Widnes on the wing. He did do a great job at Fullback last season though, and probably had his best season ever.

He's very versatile and will give 110% where ever he's played. He's not an outstanding player, but he often goes from the sublime to the ridiculous. Despite this most of us love Doddy.

Sorry to see him go, but he's not a massive loss to us at the end of the day.

Fax will not benefit in having gavin dodd in my opinion.. worrincy is a very similar player. I am just fed up of idiots having a pop at people who dont agree with their opinion and then whinge and say ban him when i come back at them after they have had a pop FACT.

It's the way you put your opinion across that bothers people but then you don't seem to be able to understand that.

If it doesn't happen mate it's only because somethings changed in the last few days. Speaking last week to a player who was at Widnes last year, he told me Morrison had wrapped up his Fev deal and Doddy had all but sorted out a move to Fax.

I would be disappointed if we signed Dodd to be honest. I haven't seen anything that makes me think he would be an upgrade over Worrincy.

Dodd is a very creative and upredictable player. Far more effective than what I've seen of Worrincy.

Dodd is creative il give you that.. i mean who else can catch a ball spin it round their back and just about re-control it. Then run side wards until they reach the touchline and nearly get carried out. ENTERTAINMENT at its best id you ask me self.

Nat..You would grow to love him though... it's weird but true..

He's a game winner... but more often than not he is a liability. As a full back he does not look to catch the ball on the full, more often than not happy to let the ball bounce which is obviously something we are all told not to do at primary school level.
When he does try and take the ball on the full I would say there is a 20 - 30% chance that he will drop it which is high for the FB position.

But as I say despite this you will grow to love him.


If he does play for you next year I would expect Widnes to absolutely blitz the guy with kicks.....
and we will win as a result no matter who else is on the park!!

I always thought Doddy was good under the high ball when he was on the wing but dodgy when he was full back. Having said that I thought he was consistantly our best player last season.

Judging by the lack of confirmation from the club it does look as if Nosey got this one well wrong, which is a shame would have been a very good signing for us.

Since he was moved to full back this season he has gotten a lot better under the high ball.

Oh and Best W4nker when was the last time you watched a Widnes match that Dodd played in?
