If you go to Asdas midweek theres 3 different ales at a pound a pop. Gentleman Jack, Whitechapel Porter and Golden Ale. Long weekend for me though so a new batch of homebrews going on!

There's a Weatherspoons. I haven't been in it, but like any other Weatherspoons there's bound to be a few decent ones amongst the tasteless, frozen gnats water such as Fosters, Carlsberg and Stella. Widnes RUFC usually has a couple of well kept real ales on the go, but it's not too handy for the Halton stadium. |
