Id guess there is no joining fee to begin, but if you leave and comeback there would be some sort of penalty. The leaflet diddnt exactly give full details did it.

sainst are currently charging 25 squid for a ticket to sit in my seat. its fair to assume similair prices would otherwise be expected for our games next year. but lets go with a lower figure of 20 squid (which i believe is a pretty standard superleague ticket price)
13x20 = £260 (if your buying individual tickets for each home game)
e mailed programs (assuming they will be PDF or something) lets say a hard copy would be at least £3
there is another £39 for the season.
so that brings us to £300
plus the jerseys are cotton traders and they tend to take the a little bit with their prices.
but lets say £30 for that.
gives us a total 'value' of around £330, and i think thats a conservative estimate.
you would actually be paying more like £180 over 12 months.
Bargain if you ask me.

It's the paying in off season that will also make a slight difference is tough to work out.

Not published details for kids / concessions yet though so you may well get a family deal in that too... We shall see!

indeed. as j20 points out, its reasonable to expect 10% discount, you get a fiver knocked of a jersey, and im a fitness instructor so i tend to buy a lot of the training tops aswell so i would save even more.
all in all, assuming you would attend every game and get a program your probably spending half through this scheme what you otherwise would over the course of a season.

Scheme & idea is great... I hope thet scheme is extended to junior (at a smaller monthly subscription) & family memberships (obviously higher monthly subscription).. Im somebody from widnes who is not a regular but intend to in the future... I am actually very excited about it & cant wait to get started.. I think Widnes can get back to the position we once were with Steve O'Connor running the show... I remember Naughton park full to the rafters week in week out, your obviously going to struggle to get it like that playing York but a little patience, some good performances in super league & a bit of success... I can see Stobart tadium bouncing on a regulr basis

Think the club will be looking at numbers in the scheme growing year on year.

Can see the first target getting to about 3000 members before the start of 2012 season.

Then as the team hopefully gets stronger membership getting nearer the 7000 that SOC wants.

I was thinking that, it will be very hard indeed to get 7,000 for the first year, i hope we get a good marketing guru in for Super League. Someone who can push this out to the borough.

i can see this going very well, ive already got a mate recruited, and hes going to be paying for his sons and his dad also. so theres 4 extra people already, just today. tempted by this scheme.
i know at least a half dozen other people who admittedly are glory hogs, have only been to a handful of games in recent years but will definately be attending regularly as of next year, as a direct result of my informing them about the stronghold scheme. so theres 10 newcomers already. if the majority can get one newcomer each on board then we are sorted.

Hey, don't get me wrong over my concerns for my family ticket - I'm sure this new scheme will be attractive to new fans for whom the usual savings for a season ticket have always involved a big initial outlay!

I hope the club get a leaflet mailed out with the Weekly World or something, a leaflet with better info though! It's hard for existing fans to find more than one new fan but a mail shot could have great returns in Widnes, Runcorn and neighbouring towns.

The official site is very good for info, especially the FAQ section.

Also says that original season ticket offers will stand for next year if you prefer! (should answer Steken's question hopefully).

Also the deal for 'new fabs' starts NOW! So could see a boost in immediate crowds too.
