I am certainly happy with the initiative being shown , hopefully it will be well taken up and a good night is had by all , it would have been better still with free coaches for attending mutants

Unfortunatley I dont actually ' do ' corporate and have never been in the LSV board room or directors box , I have spoke to a few club chairmen but business and personal issues have prevented me from pushing things along too much so far , one thing that all have said to me is that the idea is excellent , however as usual the issue most see as a problem is actually getting them all to understand that collectively they can achieve ten times more than they can individually

Thinking about making the Wigan game my first appearance of the season. But if I don't have to work for this game, I may stick around for a few days and make this too.

When you said that why do I get this sort of image in my head?

I'm surprised about people keep saying about the poor numbers we took to Leigh last year. I went, but don't remember the crowd being that bad. The things that stand out was us playing poorly and us playing poorly but still felt like we should have won and that we'd threw the game away. the other thing that I remember was the 'trouble' with the heavy handed stewards who threw people out for not sitting down even though there were a lot of Leigh fans stood up in the stand to the left of where the Widnes fans were.

The away following was very disapointing from widnes last year. Wish they would stop showing our home games vs widnes on SKY actually as it really reduces the only decent away following we get. Plus our home game v barrow being on sky and now 'Fev and probably 'Fax home games are going to be on wednesday nights due to challenge cup fixtures means our four 'biggest' matches are all going to be thursday and wednesday night matches. No wonder we never get much away support

Think the official Away number was 220 or so.

Either way, the whole crowd was disappointing (2300).

Leigh Initiative is certainly the way to go, and one that I have been crying out for ages. If we get 3000 paying fans, that will do me. The other 1000 or so are our future, so the rest is now up to the club !

Leigh haven't brought 1k to our place since SL so not expecting much tbh!

In fairness, it isn't unheard of and we haven't taken anything less than 500 to an away game so far I reckon, bar Toulouse and maybe 350 or so at Dewsbury on a Wednesday night in the NRC; took 800+ to Halifax when we tonked them.

The season after SL we tonked you both times at your place and brought really good support on both games (Att around 4500 IIRC).
