You of all people, as a cougar fan, should be able to understand the frustration felt by rugby league clubs when the RFL makes a decision that is not in the sports best interests and a clubs feel left out for the wrong reasons. YOU should know this. So stop pretending like Widnes, Leigh, Halifax, Fev, Dewsbury, Hunslet, Keighley, etc should just take decisions like this on the chin without even a response.

At times the bigotry coming from "certain" Widnes fans make the RFU look like saints when they were giving RL a hard time.

You need to read Tony Collins "Rugby's Great Split" and "Rugby League in Twentieth Century Britain" before you start making comparions of any RL club with the RFU and its actions over the last 114 years. Coming from a fellow RL fan, that is a disgrace to draw such a comparison. If you've read those books then you should know better. All that any of the Widnes fans on here are really saying is that the RFL is due some reproach for forcing a team like Celtic int the top flight before they were ready. I think you might find a lot of fans would agree, whichever team they support.

I know there is a drive on this forum to prevent the discussion of things relating to Celtic Crusaders but I don't think this is necessary or fair..
The arguments against seem to be focused around
i) being bored of hearing about Celtic or
ii) the perception that other fans have of our club based on the comments that we make..

Personally speaking I think we should be able to discuss any matter in RL circles but I do agree that the goading of other fans on their own boards about matters like these do not portray us in too good a light, especially when the spotlight seems to be on us whenever Celtic slip up.. however

I still think that we should be allowed to have and voice an opinion on these matters and personally think that anyone that forms a negative opinion on all supporters as a result of the opinions of one or two are not people whose opinions we should be too worried about anyway. Some of the things happening at Celtic are big news so why should we not be allowed to speak about it on these boards when it is making news on every other board. The people that have this opinion of Widnes fans being bitter will have it regardless.

Ultimately the happenings at other clubs in SL could have an effect on Widnes, Toulouse, Halifax and a few others so again I think it is a fair topic for discussion.

Agreed, but it has been done to death...it really has.
Everyone and their mother knew the welsh would get a licence. Everyone knew they weren't ready. Everyone knew that they fielded loads of Australians to be in a position to get a licence. Everyone knew that the RFL would reject a heartlands team to ensure that the welsh got in. Everyone is now aware that the offence that the UKBA are citing is from the years before the licence applications were submitted. Everyone can assume that if this offence had been noticed 13 months ago, that the RFL may have decided to dock celtic points.....but still granted them a licence anyway on the expansion ticket. Everyone knows that all the clubs that failed last time felt hard done by. Everyone agrees that Widnes acted with the most reserved dignity in the face of this rejection and that the clown at leigh pretty much negated their need to apply again in 2011.
Everyone can speculate as to what might happen yet, but as it currently has no direct influence over your season, everyone should really concentrate on the few weeks rugby we have left to watch before the 3 month abyss.....then bore the tits of everyone then, but until then, I think Huddersfield for the Cup, Leeds for the SL Grend final and widnes for the C1 GF.

In the next couple of weeks if the UKBA find that there is evidence that the club acted deceitfully (and in effect cheated) will we not be able to comment again because we cannot afford to be seen as bitter or whingers...
I read through a lot of these boards and the people that make the constant comments regarding Widnes fans on this matter are nothing more than unintelligent scum. They often make accusations regardless of the club badges or comments that the MB user has in their avatars or footnotes like the moronic s they are..
I'm not denying that one or two posters continue to make themselves look like tools.. there's a pearl of a one on the Celtic board at the moment, but I don't see why we should be worried about posting opinion on topical RL stories just because they affect a certain club.

6 Players ran out for celtic in the seasons previous to this one,that shouldn't have.
something or someone drew the attention of the UKBA to this in July 2009.
6 Players are being deported.
The UKBA may well seek to fine the Crusaders
The RFL have attempted to say it is nothing to do with them
Various (not all, but a few) people have made tools of themselves by posting "it's not fair" or "told you so" posts.........
Everything else is ifs buts and maybes until the UKBA publish their full findings.
